Rodent protection reminder

Guys, real quick. Temperatures will be going down, protect your thingies. I use Repel All from Home Depot. I spread it around my front tires, and it works amazing. I've seen zero rodent activity in my engine bay and my Jeep is parked out in the open.

Great reminder. Ours parks outside as well. I also have some utv’s that live in a shed at my hunting land that get crawed all over. I hate using poison in the woods.

Yes. Because when outside is cold and engine warm, rodents will try to get in.

That’s good to know. We live in the country so I’m used to this with our RV but not with the vehicles…I’ll see about getting some of that stuff for my and my wife’s rig.

I had a mouse get into my wife's car inside the garage 2 years ago. I put one of these under the hood of her car (in the garage) and my jeep (daily, in the driveway) and haven't had any issues since.

That sounds like a good idea but rodents in Seattle are kinda deaf

On a related note, if you have to take your Jeep to the dealership for a warranty claim, clean up any and all traces of mice you can find under your hood. I had a bad axle locker sensor (a common problem from a bad design) and the 1st thing the dealership did was look under my hood. I asked them what they were doing and they said that if they see any evidence or rodents, they automatically void any warranty items related to electrical items.

With placing stuff in the engine bay you're taking a risk that the rodents will get to the engine bay and then turn around. I'm not even letting them climb, their nostrils and taste buds get burnt when they approach the tires

Yea, these things really do work. My wife had a mouse family living in her Explorer for a while. After trapping them all out I put one of these on the battery. No mice since then!
