Wow, that sucks. Always enjoyed watching his driving, whether in WRC or his crazy hooning productions. He genuinely seemed to be having fun any time he was behind the wheel ?

To die young doing what you love, or many years later lying in your bed lingering with a disease like cancer, or going brain dead with dementia. I have lived both in my family, given a choice, I would choose the former. May he RIP

Condolences to his family.
Such an interesting dude that definitely went out on top.

I wholeheartedly agree with you @2nd 392 ...I sure hope I'm able to ride and play up until the end. If the play is what gets me it shall be a blessing.

We never know, a few years ago a friend had an “unfortunate?” fatal solo motorcycle accident…… A couple months after being diagnosed with incurable late stage cancer. RIP Scotto ?

Well there’s a shame. If we’re speaking frankly here, I’m really glad it wasn’t suicide. Seems like there have been a lot of suicides lately. Almost a freakish amount. An accident doing something cool is far better than yet another person choosing a permanent solution to their temporary problems. RIP.

The cause wasn’t determined. Know only by him and the ONE who knows.

Dude was a legend. An amazing driver who introduced motorsport to an entire new generation. He's the reason a lot of kids younger than me got into cars. RIP.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but suicide is a little more complicated than just being a way to deal with a temporary problem. Regardless, please share this below with everyone you know:

“988” is the three-digit, nationwide phone number to connect directly to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. By calling or texting 988, you’ll connect with mental health professionals with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Ken Block influenced and inspired many people. He will be missed. He will go down in the history books as one of the great ones and he will live on in the memories of millions.

I say we all have an expiration date and other than suicide, we go when we are slated to go. Never fear death, it comes to everyone. Fear not doing the things you are capable of doing. We have all seen people live through the impossible and others drop dead from something that shouldn’t kill a fly or what appears way before their time.

Go do things, push your limits and never regret not using the time you have. Fear being 80 years old and regretting not taking the chance and no longer being able to.

I will miss Ken Block’s contribution to our lives in general. He passed doing something that made him feel alive and probably some one is passing at the hands of some idiot texting while driving at this moment. Might as well be doing cool stuff when your card gets punched.

Very inspired by his you tube videos at swing arm city - they are so much fun to watch. Unlucky to lose him.

When you love the thrill of pushing the limits of machines bad things will happen. He loved what he did and we loved watching it because most of us would never take the risk. Sad to see him go like Jessie Combs a few years ago.

I was on the road yesterday when my son told me the news from the backseat.

I almost had to pull over.

I didn't know who he was until Gymkhana started coming out. But I quickly became a fan. His Gymkhana files are some of the best motorsport videos ever made. I especially enjoyed his Pilot Peak one.

It's especially raw as I just last week watched the team's quest for an American Rally championship. If you haven't seen it, it's a good watch.

Condolences to his family. May he live on forever in our memories.
