If the windows are in place with the sundrider open or the main windows down it will rattle badly with the air movement inside the Jeep. I don't trust mine on the highway to not pop out. It's either rear windows off, or close up the Jeep for those highway miles.
If everything was closed then...
When the brake pull doesn't move quickly at the wheel the cable end at the handle doesn't match the other cable. The pop is the cable correcting position when the drum pad finally moves at the wheel. Mine is a right rear issue too
Hampton Falls NH
I didn't think to get my Jeep in the pic. Started with the early morning ocean fog into a beautiful day for boiling syrup. Have a real long boil day set for tomorrow
Yes the arms are locked for storage on or off the Jeep. Once you install it on the rollbar it can be unlocked easily allowing the top to move forward.
You are correct it does look like the top is separated from that rear bow. You could try and put it on the Jeep and see what happens. Not...
There is a corner tab that is keeping it out. Pull the tab down and it will clip into the slot just fine. I had the same issue until I looked harder at the window and saw the extra corner piece
The clunk is the drum brakes at the wheel releasing to the open position. Test the cable link going to the back of the wheel drum. It should pull and release smoothly. If it is not moving well take the brake drum off and see if it is caked with debris, or rusting. You may need a shop to...
Look up how to get an MOT (UK inspection) for a kit car in Britain. Exhaust decibel checks and body opening checks for pedestrian safety are part of the inspection.
You do not need to push through the firewall for the interior installation. There is an identical set of AUX Switch wires in the passenger footwell as under the hood
I had good work done matching the color on my Jeep. Pick a nice sunny day and go by the body shop. A good shop will bring the color tags outside and get the right code. Surprisingly my 2020 is the Hella Yella primer code. Not the standard finish code
The half doors come with all the things. Proximity and all the mirror tech. Of course yours probably does not have all that but the doors will look fantastic.
The NH Parks site has Monadnock available year round. Also one in Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch in the Whites. But both of these are unstaffed and not maintained with any service through the winter. Good luck
It is not a hard piece to replace. A couple screws hold it to the bar. Cost me $15 bucks for the bracket after I had a deer whack the rear of my Jeep.
The hardest part is opening the cable loop to put on the new bracket. Just destroy the old bracket before dealing with the loop.
