My bad - can't be done.Has anyone figured out how to disconnect whatever,so you can back up with the driver’s door open?
As a teen, I crushed my foot doing that while working on a farm. Hurt for a year. The MANUAL says you shouldn’t do that. So I guess that you shouldn’t do it. It’s for your safety!
Good that you started reading it though. The MANUAL says you shouldn’t do that. So I guess that you shouldn’t do it. It’s for your safety!
@jludaveYou need a programmer like a Tazer to disable AutoPark.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that that was no longer an option, at least on more recent versions of the Tazer firmware? I might be wrong though.@jludave
A Tazer JL or any other programmer, can defeat/disable "auto park".
And if you think I am wrong roll over to Commack and ask Joe @ ZAutomotive. 8-)
OK, my misunderstanding then. I didn't realize it was no longer an option/doable.I seem to recall reading somewhere that that was no longer an option, at least on more recent versions of the Tazer firmware? I might be wrong though.
You quoted my post before I had a chance to insert the CANNOT that should have been in there. Can or Cannot?

I tested this the other day in my Sport JL. I put it in reverse, started rolling, THEN I opened the door. You just get chimes and an error message, and the Jeep keeps rolling. It can’t slam it into park with the vehicle rolling.Has anyone figured out how to disconnect whatever,so you can back up with the driver’s door open?

Im not guessing. I actually did this. Repeatedly. Perhaps there’s something wrong with my Jeep?
