Open driver door causes continuous door chime

This drove me crazy for awhile. Tried to find wires to disconnect, played with the fuses... turns out I just had to open my key and use it to lock the latch mechanism without actually closing the door. Just make sure you pull the auto lock handle when you want to close the door or it will bounce back open.
