Seeing this on new models. Drove a new Subaru the other day while the DCM unit was replaced and it had the shining logo when door was opened. Neat but one more thing added that will break and they will charge an arm and a leg to fix it.

The mini cooper I had before the jeep had puddle lights. Aftermarket you could get almost any design you wanted in the lens. The puddle lights were handy to have, but I actually haven't thought about them or missed them before this post.

The 2017 Mustang GT we had showed a pony when you opened the door. It is pretty cool.
