I went with SteerSmarts tie rod, drag link and their sector shaft brace, as recommended and installed by Northridge4x4. Couldn’t be happier with my steering/handling on 315s and 1.5in Clayton lift.

Happy with Metalcloak and glad I used their offering since a tierod that's any bigger would not have fit with my Dana diff cover.
Really? I have Dana covers too and was thinking about going with RPM or Apex.

This guy has the RPM with Dana cover, seems to fit okay.

Whateever tierod and draglink you chose, keep a spare, whether it's your original or something you pick up along the way.

When I go to Moab or the Rubicon, the pickup is loaded with spares. Those spares include these steering parts.

Lots of good choices out there . I have been satisfied with my upgrade to Steer Smarts for all front suspension on my jlr.
I did the same as you on my wife's Sahara. Upgraded all front suspension with Steer Smarts. Also did the Dynatrac ball joints. It's a night and day difference.

Not a bad idea instead of trying to get a few bucks for them. If I hold on to the OEM stuff, I won’t need them… but if I don’t…

Synergy. Nothing better. Unless your only goal is eye candy…

I like Synergy products. I have their rear trackbar and brake lines. When I bought my draglink and tierod I just went with Metalcloak to match my lift and they're chromoly.

This is how much room I have at a full left turn. The photo makes the clearance look worse than reality, but its' still only about 3/16" at best.

Nice. Synergy goes one step better though and their tie rod is heat treated chromoly 😉

Yeah, it's all about the details though. All mill run 4130 chromoly is heat treated. ;) Most of the commercially available chromoly tube is in the "normalized" condition. (97k tensile, 63k yield). So, for Dynatrac to claim "heat treated" is without definition beyond purchasing regular off-the-rack chromoly tube. It could be that they do some additional heat treating to a higher hardness. But that would be very unusual and costly for this type of part. Metalcloak provides a bit more meaningful information by stating they use normalized 4130 and providing the ultimate tensile strength number (97k psi). Theoretically, you could heat treat 4130 to over 200k psi. That would be a fairly expensive process to use for such a product and the benefits are likely minimal. Unlikely, anyone does this.
