I like my aluminium links from CavFab. They are extremely beefy (2") and use Apex ends.
Downside of the beefy rods is that the room for stabilizer relocation is reduced. Had to play around to figure out.
Same here - I was surprised how bulky the 2" rods are. And unnecessary, honestly. I'm sure 1.75 would be strong enough for anything except like, trying to sink a battleship by ramming it with the tie rod
There are lots of very good options...SteerSmarts, MetalCloak, APEX just to name a few.
Don't forget however that even the best will be sub-par if not properly installed!
I have the aluminum Apex. They’ve been great with a great warranty.
I recently asked to order and pay for new rod ends for my drag link. Not a failed part but the joints were maxed when I tightened one side but didn’t double check the other side.
I didn’t want to risk keeping it in case the joint developed slop being at max angle for several weeks.
Apex sent out new joints for both ends at no cost.
Solid company and I’ll run them again if I were to get a different Jeep.
I recommended Cavfab above, but after I did more market research, looks like there are cheaper solutions if you're planning for Aluminium links.
You can order the aluminium links from many venders, like TMR or KnuckleBusted, and buy the Apex ends separately. As long as the aluminium links are 7075 T6, they are essentially the same thing.
