The zerk layout on the Teraflex joints is dookie. I definitely smashed one during install, and I have no idea how.
Man, I knew someone did it, but couldn't remember if it was here or on the gladiator side.

Just the lowers have that dual zerk, right?

Have you replaced ball joints before? It kinda sucks. Plus new ball joints can be stiff and make your Jeep drive terrible until they get "broken in." Going with the highest quality ball joints is a wise decision. Double the upfront cost is worth double the effort IMO.

That said, I had teraflex on my JK and they seemed pretty good. Although I had one lower that seemed to loosen up after wheeling and I'd have to tighten it on a regular basis. Not sure why it would do that with the set screws tight.

I'm also on stock ball joints and 37s. My plan is dynatrac, but teraflex would be my budget option.
Yeah, on a couple dozen different vehicles. Fairly new ones, aren't too bad. 18 year old TJs on the other hand, bring the suck.

It always surprises me how little Jeepers are willing to pay for typically high priced jobs. Ball joints on most vehicles, installed, run well over $1k.

Dynatracs ……. It’s not the amount of times you’ll replace them, it’s the fact they don’t come back out, especially with the aluminum knuckles…..the less remove/replace the better…. Besides they’re tried and true, proven badassness….. The other companies talk a good game but until they walk the walk, I’m not drinking the koolaid……….
Ditto, I put 40,000 miles on a set, heavy dirtrack washboard running, never intended nor needed a rebuild, still tight as new 5 years later.

No issues with the zerk layout on the teraflex joints? Saw someone smashed the ports during install, and Murphy's Law is a thing.
Technique, remove zerk fitting during install, I think dynatrac instruction says to do that.

$1300 for dynatrac ball joints installed last week on my JKUR after 15k miles. My JKU ball joints were still going strong at 87k miles.

The OEM ball joints had cut up rubber boots and were loose. I had to slow down to 32 mph on the drive to the shop because of the death wobble after crossing over a bridge seam on the IH-15. It would take a hard impact to start the DW, not like it frequently happen.

All our desert trails out here are hard packed, sun baked washboard surfaces on rock and gravel roads. Shop said JL’s definitely go thru ball joints faster than JKs.
