That is their mock up bumper. Easier to get pics to do the install. Let it go man.

I’m not sure what there is to “let go” - I see the photos and want to know what I need to do and make sure I’m not missing anything when I do it!

Also, prefer to ask now while they are focused on it and quickly responding before the thread gets lost in the jlwranglerforum ether...

Yes, our bumper is on the bench. One because our Jeep runs an aftermarket bumper and two to get quality photos for the guide. But like mentioned, you do not remove the bumper for install so it's super easy to do yourself.

So my interpretation of Steps 11 and 12 lead me to believe if we want to hook the lights into an Aux switch and manually control, the wiring will not be long enough to reach the passenger footwell or engine compartment?

On what path do you recommend fishing the wire from the bumper light to the taillight wires? Does each bumper light need to be connected to its respective taillight, or do the bumper lights run on a single wire to the driver's taillight?

Step 1-3 appear to have the bumper removed (given the angle of it) and as you can see in step 6 the bumper appears to be sitting on a table...

I have a set ordered. But I thought these were going to be tapped into the trailer light harness? So I assume we still tap into the purple and orange wire on the trailer light harness?

I imagine they did it this way because not everyone has the trailer wiring, but everyone has taillights.

Yes, you can tap to the trailer wiring harness if equipped.

It is an open cavity, you can reach right into the tail light cavity from under the Jeep. Yes, you can connect both to one side or connect independently, it is up to you.
