Any one relocate the bass from the rear floor of the two door so you can have a cubby?

Basically, I’d like to make a storage bin out of it flat lid maybe sort of like the JK head I would just like to move the base I don’t think it needs to be in the floor.I removed mine and relocated it to a shelf in my garage.
The back seat passengers feel less bass, but sound quality hasn't changed much for me. (Fwiw, I do ride with the top open or off as often as possible, and I don't have a great "ear.") The weird bass-like sound which accompanies some acceleration is still there, which was odd to me.
Still haven't found a great solution to the hole in the lid, because an OEM lid isn't worth it to me. For now I have a flat mudflap there. If I start caring, or have some free time, I might try to cut/shape the flap into a replacement lid, or fill the empty oval with something so it doesn't look like a gigantic tissue dispenser.
I like having the extra storage, especially covered. Some JLs have the bass mounted along the inside of the tirewell in the rear -- maybe JLUs? There is a lot of wasted (unless it's serving an acoustical purpose) space by sinking it into the floor.Basically, I’d like to make a storage bin out of it flat lid maybe sort of like the JK head I would just like to move the base I don’t think it needs to be in the floor.

No THAT is a Bass. Dunno about keeping it in the Jeep though-it’d smell funny after a day or so?IBSP yesterday, not me
