Think a jl (with rubicon suspension) could tow a #2400 pontoon boat? That includes all gear….
Max lusted for the jl is #2000, I know. Lol

Power wise sure. Stability wise, not so much. You can easily wind up with the tail wagging the dog. For a n occasional short run at low speed you may be ok. For longer runs at higher speeds I’d be Very careful…

A couple quick notes:

1. If you go over the limit, you can have serious liability issues if you get in a wreck.

2. I'd be a bit concerned trying to pull the boat up a slippery ramp. Not sure a 2D has the weight to get it done.

Good point. Kind of a special situation. T he is is a fresh water pond boat. I know the ramp well.
4 miles from home. Hopefully the rubicon springs will help with sagging… lol

If your Jeep is setup correctly, it’ll pull it no problem but there’s always the liability issue.
Stock, my JK would not handle the 3,000+ pound bass boat setup but after the 4.88’s and MetalCloak suspension and 315 Goodyears, never an issue. I only lived 9 miles from the lake and no heavy traffic getting there.
