Flat towing 2021 wrangler

We have a 2021 wrangler sport. We would like to tow it behind our RV and would like to know what brand of base plate and supplemental brake system people recommend. Also the tow bar and wiring harness. Thanks

No not by my v6 auto with 4:10 air pillows and 35’s. Trailer(scaled) 1850# dry 2350# wet and loaded. Jeep with just me and 100# extra load. All works great, no squat or wiggle with max coupler. Also has 10” electric brakes on trailer and curt echo phone control.

Be careful. Legally speaking that's an over weight trailer (JL 2dr has a 2000lb max tow weight). This could rear its ugly head in a surprise traffic stop or in an insurance claim, whether it was the cause of the claim or not.

Yes, max tow weight is higher in Europe but most of Europe caps the speed limit of vehicles with trailers at 50 MPH. European weight at US speeds is dangerous.

I use the blue ox patriot 3 brake with a small jackery for the power.
rock jock baseplate because it works with the winch and it’s solid when I bash it against rocks
Towmaster tow bar. I have a cut off switch for the led that I have yet to install but I use the mopar light kit
To answer your question. Easy to hook up but don’t forget to drop the hand brake before pulling out. Speaking from experience

True that, but I don’t care. Not being rude, I go by over all or gross weight of trailer + load + vehicle compared to allowed gross weight. I also limit my speed when towing also I don’t have a phone or computer in my face while driving.

I use the Blue Ox on my 2021 with the Curt wiring harness and no brake assist. I have been told that my Curt wiring harness will run my batter down as I have the lighting package. Waiting for that to happen after two years of towing.
