2018 JLR 42000+ 5+ years ordered new 1-2018 Del 7-2018 new 35” tires, new a/c, 2 new batteries and 3 new windshields. Terrible service at dealership but been driving Jeeps since time in service (67-74) Addicting behavior.
My new 67 GTX 440 w/6 pack use to cruise at 140 +mph on those straight Flatt road between Minolta and Dodge City back when I was 18 and looking girls and beer. Hell I am 75 now glad to be driving one mph over rocks and dirt sipping sweet tea.
Yes me to. OCD (old, crazy, degenerate) besides I am only over 600# , but I don’t have but me and a 10# dog in the JLR so that cuts down my GVW. Any way, that’s my story and I sticking to it.
Yes I understand, but I have towed in many states including Colorado without being stopped or questioned other than many curious people wanting to admire. I know many are afraid if involved in accidents the legal ramifications. But the same vehicle and trailer would be legal in Europe. Different...
Yes 2600# wet & loaded. Pulls well, has electric brakes, air pillows for leveling, articulating 5000# hitch. No problem and I am 75 years old and been doing this a minute or two.
OffGridTrailer I have used for the last three years camping in and have no problems pulling. I have a 2018 JLR 3.6 auto w/air pillows for leveling and 35” Goodyear m/t tires. I use curt brake controller and max articulating hitch.
True that, but I don’t care. Not being rude, I go by over all or gross weight of trailer + load + vehicle compared to allowed gross weight. I also limit my speed when towing also I don’t have a phone or computer in my face while driving.
No not by my v6 auto with 4:10 air pillows and 35’s. Trailer(scaled) 1850# dry 2350# wet and loaded. Jeep with just me and 100# extra load. All works great, no squat or wiggle with max coupler. Also has 10” electric brakes on trailer and curt echo phone control.
Google the states that require rental trucks that are towing a trailer to pull into weight stations ( surprisingly many do) and map out route destination to destination. Route as required to miss these states.
Yes I agree. Blue ox flat tow rig is what I used for four years to flat tow my JLR behind my motor home. Now I pull my OffGridTrailer with JLR. So much fun.
