I can just imagine those rats chewing their way into your tent "to snuggle".
Wait a minute... shouldn't you be offended by this entire conversation??? :)

I do not recommend this, but... Several neighborhood cats like to lie in the shade of my Jeep and watch our bird feeders, presumably fantasizing over a feline smorgasbord. Two days ago, one of them sprayed the Jeep. Even after I rinsed all of the tires with water, it still stinks a little. I cannot imagine that a rodent would feel comfortable nearby. I certainly do not like it.

Nothing more than the usual rodent repellent spices. Just works good. Brother used them on the farm. I do for winter storage. No problems yet.
Cinnamon & Peppermint oil, cool. 👍

Bobcat urine. Mice and rats have an instinctual aversion to it. I use it around my RV to keep them out.

After $3K of rodent wire chewing damage, and two tows to the dealer, I use a bit of peppermint spray, and a light that goes on at dusk, off at dawn under the front end. The jeep lives outside. I’ve tried dryer sheets, and mothballs with some limited success. It’s parked next to my 2009 Avalanche that has so far never had a problem… there’s talk that the jeeps wiring insulation may be made of a soy based material. Really?!? Good idea. Good luck!

Wouldn't that be awesome?
"And the main wiring is insulated in 100% recycled Kraft Singles!"

Peppermint spray works!

I noticed the hood liner being chewed up, so I got the spray.
I sprayed the wheels tires liners, some of suspension parts, and axle. Haven't seen anymore chewed hood liner since.
