Water in engine bay? (Searched)

I have a ‘21 JLUR and have taken it mudding in Azuza a couple of times. Both times water/mud made it into the engine bay from the front of the hood and everything gets wet. It looks like it splashes off the bumper and back. Fortunately I’ve had no (electrical) issues and it runs perfectly fine. Is this normal?

If air can get through the radiator, so can water. Absolutely normal.

Thanks. Water/mud has gotten into the alternator and battery as well. I’ve had 0 issues.

We've had open hood louvers for over a year, it literally rains inside our engine bay. We were on a roadtrip to Alabama with no inner fender liners as our aftermarket replacements were late. Still went to stoney lonesome in the rain and slopped around in the mud. Drove 2300 miles home without issue a month ago and just ran the Rubicon trail last weekend. No ill effects to be seen.
