Is this license plate mounting too occluded? Would you pull me over for it?

I personally wouldn’t of pulled you over for that but I’m retired now. You do need a light for it though. That’s a very interesting place, I like that.

Will definitely light it. That’s as far as I can get the plate out and own without hitting the recovery point on the bumper or the body when opening the gate.

Its fine by Tennessee law. Like others said, you need a light or they can hit you for Improper display. If there is a sticker in the top left corner. a petty officer could pull you over. I wouldn't though.

On a side note...that's a pretty badass bumper.

Thanks. Its the new CabFab Ultra Clearance. Don’t want to ruin the lines with a plate.

Are you going to leave it bare or powder coat it?

Powder coat. Just doing mock up and planning. Will add a small light bar to the tire cutout to help with reversing.

Bumper is sweet!

But given the world has literally gone batshit crazy, there won't be police around to pull you over. So I guess don't worry about it. Just focus more on not getting shot or robbed as there will be no LE around to protect us. Man CHAZ/CHOP worked so well didn't it!? What like 10 people shot over 3 days. Great idea ;-)

I'm confused Kyle. ;) Don't petty officers patrol the seas?

I could tell you, but then....
Is this license plate mounting too occluded? Would you pull me over for it?
Would have been fine with me during my LEO time in Virginia, with the light as mentioned by others.

However, 46.2-716 spells out the requirements pretty well, to include items blocking view of the month and year of expiration, so you’d have to be careful with it tucked under the spare like that as most of the VA tag choices still have positioning of the month decal in the upper left. For me, if I had a question about whether your tags were expired I’d run it to make sure, without stopping you. If it came back ok you’d never even know I checked it. If it came back expired, well, we’d have a little chat at that point...

Just my thoughts.
