Ive only taken it in the snow once when we got a little dump..It was ok, but I didn't air down or anything. Off road in the rocks and dirt they're amazing! It eats whatever obstacle I've thrown at it.
On the road it's not bad at all. You get some tire noise on the road but it's more like...
I know this is an old thread, but I was curious to see what everyone else was getting.
I have Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 37s on the 2" Mopar lift. I've been right around 18 MPG. Which was about the same I was getting stock, so I'm pretty happy.
My buddy has a JTR on MT Baja MTZ's and he...
Personally, I went with the Mopar lift and had the dealer install it to not mess with any warranty's. I would definitely upgrade your wheels and tires as well..The stock wheels would look funny IMO with the lift. I went with 37's.
And Im not too sure if it increases the rollover risk...
I got mine scheduled for the TSB as well..Hopefully next week I'll have it installed. There was definitely play in my steering. If this tightens it up, then I'll be a happy dude.
I have an appointment on Thursday for this issue. Sloppy steering and it wanders..Hope they fix it! Is there anything i should tell them when I drop it off.
The only drag about this V8 Wrangler is, I'm gonna take a hit on ANOTHER trade when they release it. It's gonna be something I'll NEED for my mental health.
I took my stock Rubicon down the "Rocky Gap/Potato Ridge" trail here in Vegas..I think it was rated a level 5-6 (difficult) trail. I had no problems! My buddy was in his JTR with 2" mopar and 37" Bajas (he definitely didn't have a problem)
Can't swing $7.5K for a lift and tires ATM. So I'll...
It's a pretty sweet set up...I just don't know if I would be comfortable taking it on some serious trails...My fender flares, and bumpers are all scratched up from rocks and what not. They're probably the most Boujee Jeep you can get. Which is cool, there's a Jeep for everyone!
I think the JT Max Tow has 4.10 gearing.
The High Altitude is nice, I saw one at a dealership here in Vegas...20" factory wheels too
edit: Should've color matched the rear window hinges and hood hinges...Would've been a nice touch
I upgraded from a 2016 Cadillac ESV.
I actually got a call from Cadillac the other day to trade in for a 2020, and I told the salesman the same thing..."Upgraded to Rubicon." He said "sweet, good choice! I'm jealous!"
Im gonna have to check out those hot head liners...It does get offensively hot in my Jeep. Even with tint and all that..Might switch all the window tint to ceramic that blocks UV, but not the heat. I can feel it cooking up there.
