Wondering how common this is, dash message saying pull over vehicle will shut off soon. Shuts down while driving down the roadn pushed it off the road, won't start back. Good aux and main batteries, but no electrical anything working, completely dead after it shut down. Not a single flicker of a light, won't even attempt to start. Tow to dealer (still has power train warranty). They said it's a fuse array and charge $2,000 to replace (300 diagnostic fee, 900 labor, 800 part) When I questioned why a 30 dollar fuse array was 800 they said you have to replace the entire power distribution center and that it has nothing to do with the power train so it isn't covered under warranty. I don't know why they would sell a fuse array on its own if you "can't" use it. Anyone else run into an issue with the PDC on their JLs

I've lost all faith in stealerships. My 2019 JL Sport (purchased new) will never again tread anywhere near any FCA/Stellantis location.

It sounds like you suffered blown fuse(s). Replacement of the entire Power Distribution Module seem's to indicate a design flaw where some high current circuit 'melted' rather than simply blowing a protective fuse.

This situatuon clearly warrants a second (unbiased) assessment by a non dealer associated mechanic.

I truly wished I had followed up with a lawyer on an insurance claim I had to submit because the dealer involved my Sport in a collision while in their care on their property. They refused any responsibility even while I (the owner) was 30 miles away at work at the time.

These 'Scheisters' claimed that a third party delivery driver smashed into my vehicle while it was parked in a public area on their dealership lot. Why is it that my Jeep was the only vehicle damaged? The truck involved was clearly too large to be driving inside any parking area. They clearly left it in location where a hurried, low-wage delivery jock could smash into it.

So, all repairs were done by a non-dealership affiliated collision shop. Also, without hiring a lawyer, I'm out of 'diminished resale value' for not suing.

Never (and I mean NEVER-EVER) will I do business with an Stellantis Stealership again. In my mind my 2019 JL Sport will be my only Jeep I ever own (God willing). If I ever do decide on replacing it, it will be a used JL, purchased somewhere other than Stellantis.

Too bad, I love my JL. Best daily driver I've ever owned. I'm having an outright blast in this thing living near the Foothills of the Colorado Front Range.

My advice, RUN. Take your vehicle somewhere else. Even if just for a way more competent second opinion. Stellantis Stealerships are in business to fleece you for all your willing to let them take.

No joke! I have a feeling they are just guessing that fixes it. It was acting funny before it died completely (random shut offs with the wipers coming half way up, surging internal electronics, but would start right back, plus with it giving a warning before it shut off for good I think the fuse array blew after that/because of some other issue)

For sure! If it was out of powertrain warranty I would have definitely taken elsewhere but I figured there Might be a slim chance they could bill the manufacture under warranty

The fuse array is under $100. The labor to replace either the fuse array or the PDC should be about 15 minutes, if the guy never did it before.

800 labor is pure theft. Some dealers should be put out of business.

This fuse blows all the time. It's nowhere near that expensive. You do not need to replace the entire PDC, that's silly.

Apparently I authorized the new PDC when I said over the phone something to the effect of 'just get it running' when they tried to say I needed both diffs, the transfer case, and the coolant system flushed and new fluid and a front end alignment because it was out of alignment. Thought it was weird they were checking fluids and the alignment on a vehicle that doesn't run.

You are right, I shouldn't have had it towed there, they have had it over a week and it's still not ready so they may have found other electrical issues besides the PDC, but so far they say it's just that.

Ya all these threads about how shitty our jeeps are or dealerships suck why are so many on the road and dealerships still open. These threads are funny. Just go buy another brand that has zero problems
