I also pack the Jeep with other Milwaukee tools and swap batteries between them. Amazon has them under $150.

Viair 400P with my own home-made air pressure guage/extension/chuck. It's been going since 2017 and has never let me down. I went this route rather than an onboard system since we have multiple Jeeps.

Just as a note, my buddy has a 4 tire system. Both of us on 35s. Both air down to 12-15 most of the time and air up to 26 when done riding. The Viair moving from tire to tire is really not much slower than his system. Maybe a minute and that's just the moving.

I have been using the Milwaulkee battery air inflator with a 8.0 battery. I filled all 4 35 inch tires up from 25 to 40 psi in 12 minutes and still had 1/2 battery. I carry the 12 volt battery top off so the battery is always full when needed.
This! Awesome little machine.

Same here. All locked in a packout with a cable strapped to rear seat brackets for a little bit of security.

I paid a butt load for an ARB portable and then paid even move to convert it to an onboard system. Storing a portable one after use when it is hot sucks. Worry about people stealing it when I offroad with the top off sucks. Having to open the hood and hook everything up to use it sucks. Having it sit in the dirt when using it sucks.

😂

These are all good points. Also…going into debt sucks….so I stick with my crappy china one. But if the money is right…I’d say this is on the money lol

For me on board air is one of my first mods just because of how often you use it.

I have the ARB twin mounted in the passenger side of the rear cubby under a DIY flat floor similar to Goose Gears. Two hatches allow access to service the compressor and get to the air fitting. One of the hatches is on the drivers side below my fridge slide which allows quick access to the air coupler regardless of how much cargo I have loaded, simply slide out the fridge and connect the hoses.

I’ll probably get flamed for this but I’ve been using this for a while and it works great. Fills my 37’s and has filled 37’s and 35’s one after another with no real issue other than getting hot at the valve port. $100 is good for me. Had a buddy with a smaller ARB and he burnt it up using his 35’s in less than a year. Not saying ARB’s are bad (I think they are actually the gold standard) but heck people think this is crap because it’s not name brand and it works great.

I have pretty much that exact same one. Name might be different, but they're all Chineseum. It works well, but gets too hot to put back in the bag when done.

NOTE: I am not interested in an Onboard system. I want to be able to take it with me if I change Jeeps.

i searched through past threads and saw a bunch of mentions of ARB twin brushless. What do you recommend and why?
Any of those dual compressors from Napa, Thor's lightning, (That green one), Are all made by the same manufacturer in China.

I purchased it straight from the manufacturer myself and saved about a hundred bucks, but you can buy it from any of those guys too. 🤷‍♂️

Here's a link to the manufacturer of this dual compressor

You're going to have to chat with them and tell them that you want to buy a single sample piece, and make sure you are clear that you want the digital gauge on it. It's automatic and in my experiences it's pretty damn accurate. It'll turn on and off like 2 or 3 times while it checks the PSI before it keeps airing up. But you can do all four tires with this thing in less than 5 minutes.

I don't know what shipping's going to be at this point and with the tariffs it might actually cost you more. For me it came out to about $160, and took two and a half months to get to me. But That was better than the $260 that Thor's Lightning was trying to charge for the exact same thing.
