Anybody every have issues with having a can of pepper/bear spray left in the Jeep?
I don't mind leaving in, I just don't want it to blow up. That may suck a bit.

Although I could rub my hard boiled eggs on the roof while driving to work.

Wow. That settles that. I knew it is an issue if it blew, but that is bad. Then you deal with the contents.

Thanks. I have made my decision not to keep it in the Jeep.

I have carried pepper spray and bear spray in all my rigs for over 30 years and never had a problem. I do however always keep them inside a zip lock bag just in case.

I would not, vehicle temps get way too hot. You could do what someone said above and keep it in a tightly sealed container if you just need to always have it with you

No issues to date with the small canisters of pepper spray that I've stowed in our vehicles through the years.

I do recurringly replace them at or just after their individual expiration dates. The retired canisters are used for practice (i.e., aiming and confirmation of practical stream distance.) Not once have they failed to function, irrespective of age. That's good to know.

In the late 70's I had an issued small spray can of CS/CN gas go off on my duty belt while driving my squad. It took weeks of cleaning and driving with the windows down before it was no longer noticeable. When we switched to OC spray that wasn't as lasting. The aerosol spray cans do expire mostly from losing their pressure. I'm glad I don't have to mess with them anymore.

I would not leave it in a vehicle long term. I used to carry bear spray for hiking but I found out the hard way that usually the first thing that gets old is the O-ring where the spray head mounts to the can.
I will not go into the details but can say for a fact this stuff isn’t good for anywhere on your body.
I almost threw away a perfectly good goose down parka because it had bear spray in to many places to count.
I then decided to carry my lead sprayer when hiking & I haven’t had the bear spray since.

Are you thinking a zip lock bag will somehow stop the explosion? Seriously?

From the article:

“That’s a lesson a worker at Yellowstone National Park recently learned the hard way by leaving a can of bear spray on the dashboard of his vehicle.”

Obviously with a Jeep there wouldn’t be room to leave it on dash with all the ducks up there. Some place lower, and cooler might work but I’d still prefer to carry a rehoming device like @ShellNate7974 . Even if it doesn’t kill the bear it would feel good knowing I had given it a few holes to remember me by, after it mauled me to death.

Plus, having a deterrent out in the vehicle when you aren’t in it just isn’t terribly helpful. Good intention, bad implementation: 2 out of 5 stars, would not recommend.
