I just lifted my 2021 Wrangler JL to put 35 tires on it. Bought a used 35 for the spare. I now know that there has to be some modification for me to be able to have 35 as a spare. They look really expensive. What are my options...if any?

I believe the factory spare tire carrier can handle a 35" tire but you have plenty of options.

I have a 35 and have the factory spare tire Carrier. The only thing I had to remove was the rear camera cover.
I put the 35 up on the carrier but there wasn’t enough bolt left to put the lug nuts on. Did removing the comer cover allow more bolt to protrude?

Yea had to use that for my wife’s JK.. but that’s only because it was hitting the bumper
Did it work out ok, is it a good product?

If I ever increase my tire size, I'll have to do something.

My 2021 has a 35 spare on factory carrier, but the builder added a slight body lift so there is plenty of room off the bumper (aftermarket too) and all I had to do was change to some cheap extended tire bump stops from Amazon because the factory ones were not touching the spare (as seen in pic first pic).

Avoid the steel relocation plates, they weigh ~15 lbs. I have an unused RC one in the garage after realizing it would put me at reinforcement weight. The TF aluminum ones are featherweight 2” up- 1 3/8” out IIRC. Unless you go to less offset wheels then spring for an adjustable like the TF Alpha to eliminate possible camera/sensor issues. The Alpha is much cheaper without the $75 first, then $150 second relocation cost added to the total. TF reinforcement can be added later if needed.

I don’t get the OP’s problem. It clears the bumper (?) , up against the bump stops ? Would the camera cover not be removed to mount it ?

The sport/willys have a different carrier then the rubicon. I couldn’t fit a 33” spare on my willys without removing the 3rd brake light. Once I removed the 3rd brake light the spare fit on the carrier but does rub a little on the bumper. I got the mopar relocation bracket to remount the 3rd brake light. It was cheaper for me to do the that compared to getting a new carrier.

I was looking for the weight on the RedRock but didn't see one. I would appreciate a link for the TF aluminum one if you have it.

I installed Falken Wildpeak A/T3W LT315/70R17 tires, including the spare. No modifications needed.
