I'm liking the turbo. Haven't driven enough yet to see about the MPG, but right now it's sitting around 19 1/2. I'll have a better idea on the next tank that I get. If they did a manual in the XR it would be awesome.
Yeah, if they put the 4.88 manual with XR, I'd buy it tomorrow. As it stands now, I think I'll just put a lift and 35's on my JLUR. The thing is....I could sell it right now for more than I paid, yank the winch off and grab a new front bumper and have the XR completely ready to go. I honestly have gotten into off-roading, but to the point that I need both a front and rear locker/hardcore rock climbing I'm not really into, more just climbs/getting to where I want to get to to camp, hike, mountain bike or whatever.

I go back and forth, still up in the air.

Shipping note: It made it in 3 days...dealer speculated it was last on the train and 1st off. Wife loves it!

That's where I was. I wanted a Rubicon but I couldn't really justify the extra costs for my intended use. I got the XR because it already had almost everything that I would upgrade anyway, short of bumpers and a winch. I just ordered a few hundred bucks worth of stuff for it like seat covers, Redline Tuning hood struts, Bullet Point phone holder, Barricade sliders, and a switch panel like I had in my other jeep that the wife took over. Some of the nice-to-have things are Apex sway bar disconnects, tranny and oil pan skids and maybe hydraulic bump stops. The XR bump stop towers are crazy long but those hydro stops are a bit spendy. So are the sway bar disconnects.

Yeah, I've made the same sort of upgrades to my Rubicon, Bartact seat covers (which I would move to the new vehicle), Armorlite/Bedtred, front bumper/skid, winch (move to new vehicle). Basically I would lose the bumper/skid/Armorlite/Bedtred (roughly $1500). Paid $42,500 OTD, 12000 miles, Carvana price is $44,300.

I'm pretty much at a crossroads with the Rubicon, the bumper/winch pulled the front end down a inch almost, so I've got 3 options:

1. 3/4" spacer, $50, balance it out, call it a day.
2. Teraflex ST1 and 35's or Mopar 2" and 35" (probably a better call as I'd worry about the ST1 and future issues). Also I'd want to stick with stock wheels so that includes possibly wheel spacers which I don't want to do.
3. Trade and get the XR Willy's, add a bumper, move the winch and call it a day (probably with option 1 for weight).

Looks like a XR Willy's with hard top and Vinyl in it at 7% below invoice is around $49k with taxes ($500) and fees. So, 35" tires on my Rubicon will be $2k, 2" lift (Mopar) $1500-$2k (the price seems to bounce around). It comes down to trading automatic (4.56) for manual (4.10), lockers for newer vehicle with additions already implemented. Everything else on the Rubicon I don't really care about (I would just manually detach the sway bar, or get the JKS). Oh, and V6 for the 2.0T.

My Willys sport was 44 OTD with 6% under invoice, military discount and $100 from jeep. All I got was the sport XR, hard top and doors off mirror kit. I didn't get the full Willys because power windows, mirrors and locks ain't worth 5 grand to me.

Yeah, I saw that........and I'm strongly looking at it.......power locks not so much as I don't really lock my doors and my vehicle is in the garage every night (and 6 months of the year no doors/top).

Power windows.......hmmm.......kinda like having, although they did start to fail in my JK.

Lucky. Mine was about 53k otd. The dealership installed $2800 worth of useless crap on it +MSRP, Tax, and random fees.

It would have been about 50k otherwise. Similar build.

Couldn't wait for a custom order at less than invoice?

I could have, but I was trading a 22' CX5 that was dropping in value quickly. I had 6k negative equity on that and put more money down on the Wrangler. So, I was already at a loss regardless. +I knew interest rates were going up. I secured 3.25 right before they went up. I took a gamble.

The roll up windows are very smooth and fast, no loss for me. Power locks would be nice, but not a real factor for me. Wife's vehicle and she would like the radio to display the artist (weird it doesn't, every car since 2006 has) and she isn't sure about power locks; however, she carries her purse, lunch, Yeti...and likes to just open the door. I got the Mopar rock rail to get her hot little arse up in there...and tow package...You need a hitch when you need one! I love the interior is very clean looking as well. This Jeep is a beast! My old Jeep Commander with Quadratrac II is better in snow as well as my BMW Xdrive. I am glad I didn't get the Rubicon as performing in snow is very high on my list, and Willys is supposed to have better ability in snow since it isn't locking all 4 wheels together. I got $500 of msrp with a custom order...not bragging, I know I paid too much.

I already ordered: 5 set of wheel locks, headliners, back mat, sun shade, and phone holder. Next will be Deep Sleep left/right sleeping pads with the mat that covers trench when seats are down. Just waiting for weather tech mat to arrive and see if I can slide it forward a bit. I have a dog so want the trench mat in addition...

I have the full Deep Sleep, really nice solution. I’m still debating, biggest thing is dropping the manual for a 2 year newer vehicle.

I installed the Hothead headliners with sound assassin strips...huge pain, but they work amazing. Used blow dryer to heat up surface and adhesive...will post pic when I remember.
