I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
If the dealership also wasn’t notified though how would they know that an order got cancelled? That’s on corporate. As far as the anniversary Rubicons, I may have misspoke and said 30th anniversary but meant 20th. The dealership was who suggested to me that Jeep may have simply made mine an anniversary Jeep and pushed it to a later build. He had said 30th and I didn’t do the math. Because you’re right. They didn’t come out until what was it 2003 or 2004? So my bad on that. And I realize that Jeep doesn’t give a crap about 1 customer. Or even a small number of us. But, if they are going to ignore the issue, I will eventually find a way to get in direct contact and get answers. And fortunately for me, I have a way of doing that. I’ll be cordial. But I’ll get an answer one way or the other.
Honestly, I'm not trying to argue with you, and I was pointing out the anniversary thing just so you know. I had to look it up since I knew it wasn't available in the 1990s. My point though, is the salesperson would have seen the status. I've ordered two JLRs, a 2021 and a 2022. Both times the salesperson updated me when the status changed. I don't think he was specifically looking at orders, but maybe. I'm more inclined to think he got a notification of a status change. Either way, an astute salesperson would have noticed the change, as did the two salespeople from whom I've ordered, and they would have let you know. Some guy playing golf in Italy isn't going to know your order got cancelled and send you a quick email, your salesperson on the other hand should.

My first JL was ordered in November of 2020. Everything went through but my dealer never notified me of anything until it came in around mid February. I’ll bring up what you said with them. The dealership is small and so is the town that I live in. The salesman/manager has always been honest with me and he said they never got any notification at all. Now could he be lying? Sure. But it’s also possible that something got screwed up and he wasn’t notified. Obviously, I’ll never know but when I check in with them in November or December, which was after the order was cancelled, I was told they did not have a delivery date yet. Now we know why. So either they knew then and chose not to tell me or they didn’t know until I called Jeep yesterday.

I am sorry you got in this position. Everyone in the transaction has some blame. Stellantis has the least amount of blame. They never accepted the order, they have the statuses for a reason. It is a system that is well known. Your dealership has the most blame. They shouldn’t order Jeeps if they don’t know the process. They should have a process like all dealerships that pull a list of all orders daily and communicate any changes to the corresponding customers. And you have blame because you didn’t follow up with the dealer. You are not that far from Denver for a larger dealer. I live in a smaller town than you and knew not to trust my order to the closest dealership. I hate Denver, so I went out of state and had it delivered. I paid more. But it is where I choose to live and it was important to me.

This is where you can come up to speed with the ordering process.

Compare this uncomfortable situation to the Holocaust, the Khmer Rouge genocide, current times in Somolia, events of Rwanda, and the Ukraine invasion. Life is good for you, take a chill pill and place another order from a dealer who can provide a better price and is way more experienced. Since I already linked you one thread, it will be on you to search the forum for info on how to order out of your area and receive better pricing.

Due diligence is a good personal trait, be not afraid to accept responsibility in your business dealings.

Update: Dealer called the yard, and it's getting delivered this Monday.

A dealer I sold my 4XE off to called last week and had a purple 392 XR in and was wanting to know if I was interested. I have mine coming Monday last I heard or I would have jumped on it.

One thing forsure is how to order a Jeep .Probably cause you keep changing it up.Reps get sick of doing that for dealers
I think OP was being genuine with his post. Most people don’t know you can even place a factory order let alone understand the intricacies of the process. It’s the dealers responsibility to provide guidance on the process. I’d be frustrated if I was in his position, too.

OP, I sympathize with your frustration. I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if I waited that long only to find out the order was never actually placed. And, as tough as this may be, I don't think you're going to find the satisfaction you're looking for from Stellantis. If it was me, I would head to the nearest larger city near you, find a Jeep dealership, and put in an order. Or, scour the internet to see if there isn't a Jeep currently on a dealer lot somewhere that is close enough to what you wanted. Nobody is going to right this wrong because nobody is going to admit they did anything wrong. Sorry.

I’ve moved on. I can’t order what I want so I‘m simply going to keep what I have. I don’t hate my current Jeep, except for the eTorque but I’ll deal with that problem later. The dealership swears they never received any emails after the order was accepted. I’ll never know if that’s true or not but have decided to move on and keep what I have.

Those guys won’t return your emails .It was dealers fault .Not on Jeep .And they could probably careless .There customer service has went to shit since they bought fca
That isn’t true. I emailed the corporate leadership when my Jeep got stuck in JB for several months and ended up getting a response. The result was I got actual answers as to why the build was delayed, with constant, personal status updates and expedited shipping. They really did give a shit and were unhappy I was unhappy. I even hear from my contact on occasion checking in despite having received my vehicle in November.

Update 02-11-2023:

So after emailing the Stellantis Exective Director, CEO, COO and Head of North American sales I heard back from someone. They confirmed the order was cancelled but they were unsure of why? They asked me to send them everything that I had from the dealership from the order so I did. I am now waiting to hear back from them. However, I just ordered another 392 but as the 20th Anniversary, that has everything on it that the Xtreme Recon did and then some. I’m also getting it ordered with 37” tires. I know the guy from Stellantis wanted to make everything right though and someone else had emailed me about Jeep giving me credit towards doing another order. So maybe this will all work out for the better? The dealership is going to also give me my new orders VON number today, that I will submit to the guy at Jeep so this one doesn’t get accidentally cancelled. So once I hear back with more info I’ll let everyone know the outcome.
