Yes, they do.Do the JL’s have a oil drain plug crush washer?
on some vehicles the washer gets stuck to the bottom of the bolt making it look like just a bolt with a thick base. Maybe its this?I know this seems like an obvious question, but I don’t see one on the drain bolt. Factory forgot it? No oil leaking.
Awesome! Thank you! I got worried for a minute, but good to know it’s intended to be this way. Would it hurt to put a non-metal crush washer in between for insurance, or does this bolts seal remain good for a long time?@FJL40
No, no crush washer. Here is a pic of the drain bolt. That round metal, thick washer affair at the base of the bolt is not a washer but part of the bolt itself. Now, this thick metal washer may have some type of press fit insert of sorts (hard to tell by looking at it) that is not removable..
Also.... the oil pan drain bolt is not magnetized.

Crush washers are easy to source (auto parts store, eBay, etc). They serve an important function and are inexpensive when purchased even in small quantities. Better to use the right part for the job.Would it hurt to put a non-metal crush washer in between for insurance, or does this bolts seal remain good for a long time?
Yeah, my forgetfulness. The first thing I do with every vehicle is toss the factory plug and install a Gold Plug which does have a crush washer. I use copper ones.Yes, they do.
