I plan to add 285/70/17 KO2 to my Sahara with no lift. I’m still confused by offset/back spacing. What offset (and/or backspacing) should I look for in a new wheel if I want no to 1/2” poke. Ideally treads would be flush under and sidewall exposed. For 8.5” wheel and 9” wheel? Thanks.

The most you can go without a lift on a Sahara is 295/70/17 on a 17x9 wheel and +18 offset. I had no rub or clearance issues. Since then, I have the same wheel and offset and added a 315/70/17 tire. My Sahara is also on a Teraflex ST3 / 3.5 inch lift. You can look at my side profile and decide if a +18 is too much for you. Remember, you need an offset that clears and does not rub. Mine has no rubbing at full turn, and full stuff without rubbing the fenders.

Here's a small and incomplete list of positive offset wheels, sorted by offset

Here's one to add to your list (nice job by the way!). Vision is coming out next month with the Vision 351 Flow. It's available in 17X8 with a +30mm offset. These are what I'm taking a hard look at to mount 285/70/17s on. The only thing I don't like, and it's an easy fix with an adapter ring, is the hub opening is 78.10 and 84.10 (in grey, which is what I want) where the JL is 71.5. https://www.visionwheel.com/wheel/14765/VisionWheel/351 Flow?finishID=22

Thanks for the recommendation, be sure to post photos if you get these. In the meantime, that list has grown somewhat...

I have photos of most of these, let me know if you would like to see any.

I’m unfamiliar with wheel specs. What implications does a different hub opening have - does it just not fit Without the adapter? Would it affect the view from the back up camera as well? Thanks
