Nobody on this forum has any idea how strong you are. But there is a simple answer… Try it in your driveway and have a 100% accurate answer to your question. Can I reasonable use the OEM tire iron and its short length and readily undo the 130# torque?
Seems I need to carry a longer breaker bar and socket but will tire of carrying extra crap.
Thanks
You'll also need something like this, the lug wrench doesn't come with a 22mm socket. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JJFCYH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
100%. The first time I tried to do my own rotation (after my three free ones) took me nearly 3hrs because of bloated lugs. The damn socket got stuck on every one of them. You'll also need something like this, the lug wrench doesn't come with a 22mm socket. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JJFCYH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I got this one to accommodate any future distortion of the lug nuts.
I'm still confused how lugnut torque can be a range of 85 up to 125ft.lbs?....... That must be why the dealer stripped off two lugnuts a few years back, tried charging me for them too.
I have one but I need another one for the garage. Thank you for posting the link.?You'll also need something like this, the lug wrench doesn't come with a 22mm socket. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JJFCYH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Thanks I always thought 85ft/lb was spot on.maybe the dealer should RTFM too?
wheel lug nut torque is clearly listed as
130 Ft-Lbs (176 N·m).
(spare is 59 Ft-Lbs (80 N·m).)
of course, the factory lug nuts are cheesy things with their decorative cover; i carry the ones that were replaced by my locking lug nuts to use as spares when the covers on one of the nuts distorts enough to fall off.
Wise advice. ????Consider keeping a 16" breaker bar with the appropriate size socket in your JL at all times.
I have the socket attached to the breaker bar and the tool is placed in a 18" long piece of gray, foam pipe insulation. (No rattle.. no metal to metal contact, thanks to the foam pipe insulation)
I keep this affair, in the small compartment where the scissor jack is.
Fits right in on top of the scissor jack. With the foam pipe insulation, I have no metal to metal related rattles.
I also keep an LED flash light in with the scissor jack
I learned long ago, you can be up chitt creek so to speak, sometimes trying to break lugs loose with the little tire iron that comes with the Jeep.
Once you see someone standing on a tire iron trying to break a lug loose and the lug snaps off, etc., you realize wise man/gal carries a breaker bar with socket as I do, in the vehicle at all times.
.
Try using it if it don’t work. It won’t workCan I reasonably use the OEM tire iron and its short length and readily undo the 130# torque?

SameI just carry my 1/2 cordless impact.
Work smarter, not harder.
Dude! I'm definitely getting one of those, thanks for sharing.I found this and like it better than the folding 4 way wrench. It takes up less space and includes a 22 mm (7/8") socket.

especially if you find a N.O.S. up-armor one.
