So I now have a decision to make. So ordered this the first of the year and just got notification it has been built. I have a loaded Stingray JLURD, and I ordered the same color 392 and other then a trail camera I have same options. The problem is, I really like the diesel now, and I have driven several 392s since I ordered it, and I really do prefer the Diesel, and with the mid-year changes it seems a bit dated. What would you do??????

Of you prefer the diesel how long until you trade the 392 in for a new diesel?

Get what you want.

Life is too short to spend 90k+ on something you don't like.

You should have posted this in the 3.0 6-Cyl Turbo EcoDiesel section so you could get a completely unbiased opinion of the better power plant. Leaving this in the General discussion area will get you flooded with incorrect answers from 392 owners. ; )

I'd stick with the diesel.

personally if i was in your shoes Id keep the diesel. better MPG by almost double. Good Torque and power. and the same options and you dont have to start payments over again. I would KEEP the Eco Diesel 100%

You should keep the diesel... The 392 is amazing, but from all that you've stated, the diesel is the right choice for you.

Thanks, I'm about 95% sure staying with the Diesel, and its paid for. So staying with the diesel just makes sense to me. Thanks for your insight and responses.....

I read this reply without looking at your username and knew it was you before I even got halfway through it. Diesel owners…so predictable. ;)

Well with the diesel we don't have the horsepower but we have nearly the torque at what 1450 rpm? I would have to be making a lot of money before I would pay 90k for a Wrangler personally. I love jeep have owned many of them but they are not worth that.

Well most of the trims are out of what I would pay for them now.

Ha ha, you like what you like right? I felt strongly enough to order the 392, but the quiet torque of the diesel is my cup of tea...

It’s paid for? You just answered your question. Why would you even consider additional debt, esp these days when you already have what you really want? Feeding that 392 while making payments you don’t currently have will get old pretty quickly..

‘22 JLURD here, paid cash. The idea of going into debt on a Jeep is a nonstarter. Keep the diesel.

@BDinTX and I have a faux battle of the heavy Jeeps feud when we wheel together. Us diesel and 392 guys need to band together and fight the real enemy… The 2.0L and 3.6L gang.
