It needs to have the complete picture of total miles on that tank of gas with that MPG average. Its pretty easy to find a nice stretch of road slightly down hill and get a high MPG rating, but average over a tank of fuel is the true indicator....

I would not purchase a used Jeep without an independent PPI performed by a independent Jeep specialist. Its the best couple hundred dollars you can spend. Even if you decide on the lower mileage with possible warranty.....
I commend you for your efforts to hold Dealerships accountable, I wish more owners would do that (versus spending their own time and money) and perhaps Jeeps customer service would improve. I have owned mostly German cars and the customer service I have experienced is light years better...
