I recently converted the Mopar lift crate into a garage caddy. Overall, I’m satisfied with the result! First picture is the raw crate and second two photos are post flip. Has anyone else transformed their crate into something useful or interesting?

Now find an ice chest that will fit in there. Someone has to make one that will fit well.

Great thread! I love seeing what creative ideas people have for these things. I scored a crate a few years ago on Marketplace and turned it into an entertainment center when I redid the basement.

I split the front panel down the middle to make two doors and added hinges to the sides. Inside, I drilled for shelf pins and cut plywood to make shelves, then drilled a larger hole out the back for the HDMI and power cables to exit. There's the Xbox, then game characters from when my kids were younger, some games and controllers, and a few hundred CDs from my youth.

Outstanding! I might roll mine into the basement eventually and use it as a side table, hutch. For now it resides in the garage as my caddy. I considered staining it, but opted to just keep the natural patina (it’s about five years old).

I am so doing this with mine. It's currently just sitting in the garage as a storage box for all the Jeep stuff.
