No Garage

So my house doesn't have a garage. Most of my yard is also very uneven with as much are 4 or 5 feet variance in elevation. I am about to get my new 2022 JLU and I am trying to think of ways to help protect it from the wonderful variety of weather here in Kansas. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use a 20 foot cargo container as a garage.

Now that would be bad ass rolling out a metal cargo container in a bad ass lifted jeep..

I have heard metal containers can cause a lot of headaches with moisture and rot. Venting them is extremely important. They also get super hot.

Actual shipping containers have vents on the sides. I used to open tons of them in the USCG. People ship cars in them all the time.

Normally I would, however, I am just back to being able to walk and drive after a pretty serious injury to both my legs several years ago. The VA was a little slow on scheduling the surgery so that has complicated things. So sadly my ability to carry, climb, maneuver ect is almost nil still. So the cargo container drop and use idea seemed possible to me.

LOL I think that would be less cost effective than dropping and venting a steel cargo container.

Why not just add a carport. Not that expensive, plus it will have a roof over its head. Protection from the hail storms, and or sun rays.

Excuse some Jeepers.

Vented Container would suit your needs until later on when you are better you can maybe get car port installed.
