With the dealer/self installed Aux switches, youwill find a fuse on each individual Aux wire itself.
Awesome - thanks for the quick response - this is making me nuts today and hopefully its a simple fuse for the fix. Appreciate it!

Where did you find the inline 5 amp fuse? I have finished my install and I have no power to my switches - thinking it might be this fuse...
If this is aftermarket, ensure they are enabled by the dealer or an add-on like a tazer. Until they are enabled, they have no power.

Thanks for the reply - I did go to the dealer to have run a flash to add to UConnect. I ran through all the items I found in my forum search and turns out I had the same issue as some others here - I blew the 5 amp inline fuse just after the battery connection. Once I swapped that fuse out zero issues at all.

Thanks all for the feedback!

For those that have had issues removing the orange wire (pin 13) - does anyone have any pics of how they spliced the wires together if you can’t get this pin out? I’ve tried most everything and i think i need a 2nd option. Thanks in advance.

I thought about doing this before I finally got the pin out. Do you have the white pin tool that came with the kit? If not a small pick or toothpick will work - thats how I finally got mine out. All the videos I watched of this make it look super easy but it definitely was not.

I did the same thing. I spliced the broken wire directly to the new wire as described in the directions with a splicing crimper and some heat shrink wrap after to seal it up (bypassed the little quick disconnect clip they say to install) The new orange wire from new harness should clip right back into #13 and you should be good to go from there. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE CONNECTOR DIAGRAM EXACTLY WHEN DOING THE LAST STEP FOR THE WIRES THAT PLUG INTO THE SWITCH BANK.

Good luck!

Having this issue now. Installed Aux buttons no backlight or orange light. Replaced the fuse. Still nothing.

Are people splicing and direct connecting the small connector that has the separated orange wire?

Or the orange wire that went into the large wire harness connector?

Have you gone to the dealer or used something like a Tazer to enable the Aux buttons yet? There will be no light or function until they are enabled.

Honestly, I'm sure you have thought of it but I think you probably have a loose connection somewhere. Many have found that to be the case. Retrace each wire to double check correct and seated. Replace the fuses with new ones just to be sure. Chasing down electronic stuff isn't fun.

When I finally got my orange pin seated and started driving, i got Christmas tree lights and warnings with all systems. I freaked out, Thinking i fried something. I got locker errors, sway bar error, ess, abs, you name it. I shut off the vehicle then restarted. When I did, thank God, it was all back to normal.

I activated everything with the tazer, but the aux switch controls on u connect didn't function (only by the button). I had the dealer flash it when I was there for unrelated warranty work as well as the LED lights so I wouldn't have to always set those after a tazer unmarry.

Update: Issue fixed.
I ended up taking it to the dealer. They said it was a reflash. They reflashed even though I had done the Tazer Jl Mini update and I had seen the settings for AUX switches. The reflash did not work.
They found a fuse that was not installed as this option was not installed with the Jeep.

Make sure you check for a fuse related to these AUX switches that does not come with the Mopar kit. Not sure if I am the only one to be missing this fuze.
Hey, what fuse, I'm having that same issue.

Its been awhile, but I think i recall an inline fuse somewhere towards the battery connection. I'm sure it blew when I hooked it all up cause the aux battery still had everything powered after I removed main battery terminal (didn't realize that till sparks flew)

I did this install myself back in January and had a similar issue. If I remember correctly there was an orange wire that was required to be taken out of the factory connector and inserted into a new connector that came with the kit. I was having an issue getting it to connect properly, so I cut out the connector, soldered and shrink tubed the wires together. After that was done, I made sure my tazer had the buttons set to yes did the two cycles for the tazer and everything worked as it should. Sorry I cant recall the specifics, but I hope this helps.
