Makes you wonder why they are now recommending 0w20 oil... - The guy at the dealership said it's because of the tighter tolerances, but I would imagine they don't want these Jeeps running for another 20 years.
Thanks for the part numbers!
The mechanic at the dealership thinks it's the valve cover gaskets. He said I should be fine to take on our road trip up north and just schedule the repair after I get back. I'm going to ask them to check lifters while they are in there. I know it didn't sound...
I searched for hours, no official or unofficial documentation on that extra 7 pin plug. I imagine someone at Jeep would know, but I simply installed the Mopar AUX switch kit per the exact instructions. I think it's just part of the generic wiring assembly for that year.
Just like the extra...
Thanks for the reply, relieves a bit of stress.
I did schedule an appointment with the dealership tomorrow as we are planning a few long trips next month. I'm also concerned about the amount of oil on both valve covers around the position sensor. I'll report back with what the dealership says...
Not sure this is normal, but I don't remember hearing this much ticking. I changed the oil myself for the first time about 4 months ago with Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20, prior to that it was changed at the dealership with some other 0W-20 - 6 free changes. Attached video is for sound only - was not...
My JL has the "Premium Alpine" option but sounded nothing like premium. I did put the Terra Acoustics dash speakers in and now I would say it passes for a premium "factory" system. My wife ever noticed the difference without me telling her I did anything. Said the radio sounds better, and she...
From what I remember I removed the hose when installing UPR oil catch can. Think this is why it looks different? Notice no oil on the valve cover, this was back in May of 2022, LOL
Anyone replace just the seal themselves? I'm having the same leak and really don't want to waste a half day at the dealership for $12 seal that I can replace myself. 2021 JLUR 27K miles. Area down by the oil cooler is bone dry, only oil is on the valve cover.
I think this would work but not very cost effective, there is not much extra room really needed. WARN ships the VR with 4 AWG wire. This stuff is designed for car audio to sit flat under the carpet when running battery to amplifiers.
Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm in the same boat just dealing with the winch wires rubbing off the paint on the front grill. Only other thing I can think of is picking up one of the new 2024 grills, but not sure I care for the look.
Well that's something, all this time I was kicking myself for not getting the automatic. I've always driving standard and when getting my Jeep it just seemed proper to have a manual trans. I know over the years automatic transmission have become smoother and more refined than ever, especially...
Sounds just like my Jeep, started noticing this about 2 months after I got it. So, if you put your foot on the clutch when this is happening you can feel the vibrations and if you hold down ever so slightly the sound stops, probably dampened by your foot?
Same thing happened to me going through Nevada from Utah. Pulled off at the Bonneville Salt Flats and used a box knife to cut the damaged section off. Later replaced both sides with these from Amazon, can't find any aluminum inner fender liners I really like just yet. Amazon.com: Front Inner...
