  1. Easiest Access to replace Auxiliary Battery

I found just removing the fender was easier. You need to replace one push pin and possibly any clips that break when removing the fender. I thought it easier than popping and replacing the rivets. Push pins and clips are also inexpensive on Amazon or Quadratec.
  2. Love ESS but hate the battery location? 2 new options from Genesis Offroad!

This would have been great about 6-8 weeks ago when I replaced both batteries. I'll definitely take a look with the next battery replacement in 2-10 years.
  3. Can’t keep new(er) Jeep between the lines at higher speeds

If it is out of warranty I would expect that you would have to pay for it. The TSB is a description of a problem with a possible solution and not a required recall. Changing the gearbox from aluminum to steel made all of the difference on my 2019 (not lifted) and drastically reduced the wander.
  4. 2024 aux kit install help please

Going from memory here from my installation on my 2019. You should have the plastic box that acts as a bridge between the original wire from the harness and the auxiliary switches. The original wire (square one) from the harness that plugs into the little black box, the wire that goes into...
  5. Is it always this way with Jeeps

I've had a XJ, WK, 2 WK2's, and a JLU. I've had minimal issues with all of them over thousands of miles. I'm semi-retired so I don't get a lot of milage but my JLU is 5 years old. I have some paint bubbling I am ignoring. My JLU had the radio gps go out during an update. It was repaired...
  6. Xtreme 35 Tire Package Announced by Jeep -- Giving 35" Inch Tires to Two-door 2024 Wrangler for the First Time Ever

There is no agreement between FCA and CARB states. FCA decided to sue CA rather than join the deal with the other manufacturers. In VA, which follows CA, I see 2 door ICE available on lots. Is it limited to 4 door 4xe rather than 4 door ice? Regardless, 62k+ for a two door sounds insane...
  7. How often should dual AGM Battery JL Owners replace both batteries?

I just replaced both. Both were replaced under warranty a little under 3 years ago.
  8. Post pandemic sales UP sharply, but Stellantis sales down.

Stellantis helped create their own CARB snafu and Stellantis chose to only ship 4xe's to CARB states to help alleviate it. IMO, both choices were poor business decisions.
  9. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

When I purchased the bolt hood lock back in 2019 for my JLU, it came with a replacement grill insert so no cutting required. It doesn't come with that anymore?
  10. Jeep announces layoffs [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I think they can. I just believe they don't have to right now. We'll see if they can continue once inventories start growing. With record profits I think that points to stupid pricing being a choice, not a necessity. (Stupid pricing being my thoughts on the current costs). I didn't...
  11. Jeep announces layoffs [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I just don't think the technology or infrastructure is there yet for a country as vast as the U.S. It will take time. I'm also not willing to drive around in a tin can that squishes to nothing way too easily (drove in enough of those in Europe back in 70's and 80's). The last I checked, the...
  12. Jeep announces layoffs [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I think most people will agree that there are a lot of issues that still have to be addressed (this includes convenience and cost to name a few). I think it's too early to judge where EV's are going to end up. It's always possible they will fail or morph into something else. There is a...
  13. Jeep announces layoffs [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

People will follow what is convenient and good for their pocket book. In the long run, my guess is EV's will be where its at. They aren't convenient yet, don't have the distance yet, and still have a lot of roadblocks in the way. Money and research will remove those obstacles because there...
  14. Future of V6 Pentastar

I am not saying that solid state batteries are the end all solution. I just pointed out a few possibilities on the horizon that may change our view on how far an EV can go and how long it takes to recharge/restore the energy. The flow/refillable technology looks cool also. New technology...
  15. Future of V6 Pentastar

I believe the new solid state batteries developed by multiple companies including NASA and Toyota (also some Chinese company) should initially offer 600-700 mile ranges with about 10-15 minutes for full recharges. I believe Toyota plans to come to market in 2025-2027 timeframe. The...
  16. The Sunrider for Hardtop for the All New Jeep® Wrangler JL is here!

I have had both the Mopar grab handles and the sunrider that way for the last few years. I swap to the hard top in the winter and back to the sunrider during the summer. I have not had any issues.
  17. Mopar Auxillary / Aux Switch Install Debrief / Helpful Hints

If I did this again, I would remove the PDC and pass the wire through the grommet from the top. It would be easier and safer. Someone has a writeup here that shows a nipple that can be cut to pass the wire bundle through. There are a lot of wires passing through the grommet. As some...
  18. The Sunrider for Hardtop for the All New Jeep® Wrangler JL is here!

I put a large plastic bag on each end and duct tape them together in the middle. Keeps the dust, fur, and garage crap off it during the winter.
  19. Mopar AUX Switch Install Help needed (Bought a Non Rubicon model 82215190AB by mistake)

I can't tell what your asking from that picture. Can you go in more detail?
