Kudos on getting rid of the fold down windshield. Redo the windshield and the rake. Not that I'm likely to be in the market again before the JM drops, but I hope whenever they redo the interior, they don't go full touchscreen. I don't think they will, but they do a bunch of other stuff, so who knows.
No one needs a 10"+ touchscreen in their freakin vehicle, IMO.
The biggest things I'd want to see in an interior refresh:
- Electronic parking brake (so that the Advanced Cruise Control doesn't just turn itself off when you end up stopped)
- Cooled Seats *option*. It's ridiculous to only have heated seats in a vehicle that's likely used more in hot environments vs cold.
- Power port(s) in the dash tray
- Wireless AA/Carplay (Needs Uconnect 5, but they've used Uconnect 5 on an 8.4" before, so stick with the smaller screen)
- I don't know how, but I'd like to see them reconfigure the center dash control panel. There are dedicated buttons for things I've never used - would be cool to have user-configurable buttons (like the AUX buttons) that I can change in the settings
- Swap the steering wheel audio controls, so that volume is properly on the left and track is on the right.
- I'd like to see a wireless charging pad, but TBH, I don't know where on earth they would put it, realistically. The top of the console is NOT a good option, IMO (that's where my elbow goes).
- Adjustable-angle headrests (ala 2022 Compass)
Not popular, but personally, I'd love to see them do away with the fold-down windshield, and use the opportunity to redesign that whole area/system to be *slightly* more aerodynamic and less crack-prone. I don't need a full-on space ship, but even a slight curve would be better, IMO, and the % of owners who have ever folded the windshield down has to be miniscule.
