On a 2024 Willys 2 door, 3.6, auto: are there any non-cosmetic upgrades you find essential or desirable? Of course if the bumpers fall off or are damaged I would opt for steel. Your thoughts?

We put on Apex Autolynx Sway Bar disconnects and changed the shocks to Bilstein 5100s. Here are the links on Northridge 4x4

Why did you change shocks and disconnect? Off-roading or ?

The disconnects came first. It's so nice to have the extra articulation even on easier trails when you're just hitting wash outs at speed there is no more head toss.

The shocks came after because when just cruising through small whoops and wash outs with our new found articulation and lack of head toss (the sway bar disconnected), the red 2024 Rubicon/Willy's shocks couldn't keep up and started to fade badly. Every single bump was ending with the Jeep hitting the bump stops hard.

It depends on the type of wheeling you do or will do. For sure, sway bar disconnects make a huge difference. If you aren't driving at speed a lot on trails or in the desert, shocks might not be as much of a necessity.

Essential or desirable for what?

An air compressor is typically my first recommendation if you plan on doing trails.
