Idk this forum might be way worse because you have people coming from Kia sports and Volkwagons to now Wranglers by the thousands. And literally asking about 35’s and lifts and jeep waves its pretty brutal. At least with vette’s its a bit more exclusive. Muh’ DEATH WOBBLE!

I read a post on another forum by an old Jeeper. The dude has had 30 Jeeps in his life and knows a thing or two. He said it is a terrible idea for people new to Jeeps to slap a lift and 35s or 37s on the Jeep right out the show room door. Put 20 or 22" rims on it and take it offroad. The wise thing to do is run it stock for awhile and get familiar with it's feel, off road some and get used to how the suspension handles and then work your way up... lift, 33s, etc... Do the work yourself if you can because doing it really teaches you how every works together. There is a reason why running 17" rims and 33s or 35s when the time comes is the right way to do it for offroading.
I have to agree with this and I'm sure some will poo poo on this mentality. But the reality is people want to be cool and run 37s on 22" rims and a 2" Fox lift out the door and wonder why it feels so weird compared to their Honda CRV and the reality is most people only mall crawl it anyway. To each his own but that dude has some wisdom.
My wife and I took this approach without even realizing it. We have learned so much over the past year and have the trail rash on our rims and underside to prove it. It's been a great learning experience and using the Jeep as it was designed is pure joy.

So do any of you MOAB drivers want to do a 1 for 1 swap with my Sahara wheels? You'll no longer have to deal with those terrible, awful KM2s that are the worst tire in existence and sound like Stuka sirens. You'll get the Goodyear AT Adventures with KEVLAR! Brand new spare tire...

Jeep Wrangler JL MOAB...I just don't understand tenor

That’s ok, just wear a tinted full shield helmet, you’ll be fine...(kidding):giggle:, I don’t want to get that debate started, lol.

lol I already do wear a full face helmet.

So for $2300 I got a Yamaha V-star that I can park next to a Harley Softail and most laymen won't be able to tell the difference. Trouble is... its winded on the highway and takes a while to get the carburators working on a chilly morning... so a new(er) fuel injected model is in order.

But anyways, MOABs and Rubicons need to start fighting again!

Well Moab owners probably aren’t getting any, so they might have some to spare;)
