Ahh Rubi drivers.... I’m going to start a thread titled “Rubicon Owners: Show your rig actually using its full capability - Climbing Mall Parking Garages Don’t Count”

I think they are secretly #jelly of MOAB’s :giggle:

Never been to Area BFE I take it.
Yep, took my 69 Bronco there a few years ago, BUT when people think of Moab that's generally not what they are thinking of..

Rubicon owners are so sensitive. :like:
Just put rock lights on the MOAB. I’m VERY happy with it. It drives like a Sahara with the agressive looks of the Rubicon. Whats not to love?

Sorry, those are not rock lights, they’re curb lights. Rock lights don’t fit Moab’s ;)

Miami to Moab in my Rubicon. It’s both a mall crawler and a wheeler.

Yep, took my 69 Bronco there a few years ago, BUT when people think of Moab that's generally not what they are thinking of..
I think that's changing. Of course, Moab is losing prominence to Sand Hollow and St. George anyway since the wheeling is harder there. I personally try to stay away from generalizing unless I note it for specific caveats...but that's just me.

Moab, about 15 ago, was starting to get a lot more hardcore....but then BLM stepped in and closed a lot of new trails that were well beyond the Rubicon's difficulty. A few examples were the competition area just below Moab Rim, Upper and Lower Helldorado (before Lower was closed and Upper was bought as part of Area BFE), the back way up Lion's Back, and one particularly bad one with a slot canyon and a hard driverside 90º climb up a waterfall followed by another immediate 90º turn back passenger wherein you had to front dig or have rear steer in order to even make the turns. I'm trying to remember the name so I can find some pics, but it's escaping me. I emailed Brian Ellinger over at Front Range since he's run that trail....I just can't find his pics or remember the name of the trail. It's the reason I twin sticked by buggy in the first place. If I get an answer, I'll post up.

Maybe because they are the exact same part and it would actually help the buyer instead of calling them MOAB shocks when noone knows what that means?

What is it with you Rubicon guys?
Provided it *is* the same part....not sure that it matters. That said, if you're selling something, one should try and be as accurate as possible in the description....that includes stating exactly what the parts came off of. As JC7 pointed out...all it takes is a one sentence note explaining they are the same part number. Is that really too much to ask?

I don't think it's a "Rubicon" thing....I think it's something one does in the interest of full disclosure.

Nothing to do with anything except integrity and accuracy. If you pulled them off anything except a Rubi then they're not Rubicon take offs. Add the line about it being the same part number whatever... Is that unreasonable?

I have a hard time believing that any adult on this forum would read what I wrote and say anything but, "Ok that makes sense".

I'm done.
The Rubicon isn't even mine....it's the wife's, so I'm looking at this from the perspective of just being a good seller (in all honesty, I wouldn't have bought one at all and other than buying/donating some offroad parts, I didn't pay for any of it anyway). Whatever though....I certainly am not trying to anger you further. I apologize if I upset you.
