New Jeep on order 25 Rubi 2 door so thinking on getting new wheels and looking at the Method Bead grip wheels.

What kind of air pressures are you all running off road and any issues with de-beading at low pressure.

I'm not planning on hardcore rock crawling but want to make sure when I do air down I don't pop a bead

thanks

Ive had them down to 10psi or so and have had no issues MOST of the time. Ive had one wheel that seems to like to lose air but still keeps the bead so airing up is easy as taking the weight off the tire. I think some of it is Im running the 9" wide wheels vs the 8.5s on a 12.5 tire, and all 3 times were the worst case scenario for a non actual beadlock.

Overall I have 0 concerns running them down to 10 or a bit lower if need be especially with how they have come back every time with no issues.

12-15 a few times, no problems. I know the guy on the YouTube channel ( Dirt Lifestyle) uses them on a lot of his builds, and is frequently in single digits.

ive seen people drop them to 2-4psi in the snow with no issue. dirt lifestyle on your tube did a great video on the bead grips from method. I run mine 10-15 psi when wheeling.

How low are you thinking you'll go? I run regular wheels with 37s at 12 PSI when doing the more extreme stuff. Bead Grips are compelling since I'd love to go lower.

Until you repeatedly lose beads, you don't need them. I take my 255/75/17 tires on stock wheels down to 12 PSI without problems so far.

I started at about that level. At some point you get more confident (or more stupid) and become comfortable at lower levels. The turning point to me was when I was at an AEV event where they made it clear that everyone should be at 12. I haven't looked back since when doing the more extreme stuff.

I lost a bead on a non-bead grip wheel on the Rubicon two years ago at 9 psi. when I was running 37s. That is why I changed to bead grip wheels. No problems with 10 to 11 psi with the 40s I run now.

I regularly run 15psi when offroading on off camber situations.

Where I worrybis when I off camber and I see several rocks that would just live to push against the sidewall just right and debead

The method bead grips are def interesting. I keep going back and for between the Methods and the KMC beadlocks.

typically after the second glass of wine in the evening I gravitate to the KMCs and then in the morning back to Method.

I haven't taken mine below 12 but was rallying pretty good in the sand with some solid side loading, cross hill drifting, donuts, general hooliganism and no issues. Running an E rated 35 x 12.5 tire on 8.5 x 17 bead grips.
