Hey jeep fam!

Got a 24 4dr Willy, my previous jeeps I did the Mopar lift but want to be more capable this time around was looking at the 3.5 lift

Can anyone provide experience on it? Did ya go long or mid arm and what driveshaft you went with?

I Love my 3.5! I run the overland setup (beefier rear spring) for extra payload capacity. Running 38’s and the Rocksport Black shocks.
Drives like a dream.

I did the 2.5" Gamechanger with overland rear springs, Front control arm drop brackets, Metalcloak front driveshaft and Rocksport black shocks. A bit pricey, but as WestyMike says above, it drives absolutely wonderful. Exceeded my expectations. 👍

I installed Mopar's lift initially - it yielded 1" before installing my winch & rock sliders. I ran that for about 2 years, but was not happy with the break over on my 4 door. I installed the 3.5" MC Gamechanger which yielded a proper 3.5" of lift plus enabled a LOT more articulation. I opted for the front driveshaft included in MC's lift.

I measured an 870 on the RTI ramp this past summer which was significantly better than two other JL's which used the 3.5" MC lift. The main difference was in their shocks - both used Teraflex as I recall. However, while the RockSport Reds provide great travel, I don't really like their dampening. They seem to be overwhelmed by the weight of my 4xe. The ride is similar to a mid-70's Cadillac. The Mopar lift's Fox shocks yielded a more controlled ride over bumpy sections especially at higher speeds. So, if you can afford it, I'd recommend the RockSport Blacks which supposedly offer better dampening while still allowing full flex.

Maintenance free joints and rust resistant coating. Need I say more. :)

I went with the 3.5" Gamechanger mid arm and lever looked back..

2.5 Gamechanger with HD Steering and Rocksport Red shocks on my 2.0L Turbo 2-door Rubicon. Build thread here with various info.

I'm able to fit 38in tires with 4.5in backspace wheels and stock fenders/liners. Ride has been great, and offroad has more capability than I'm willing to try on my daily driver... Metalcloak has always been super helpful on the phone with various odds and ends, including quickly sending some replacement shocks.

Function aside, you should consider your final height and final tire size (especially with a Rubicon). I didn't love the look of 35in Toyo or 37in BFG even with the 2.5in lift (they looked small)...

I installed a MC GC3.5 on my wife's JLUR. Enough room for 39-40's with lots of flex. Hers has the red Rocksports and the mid arm setup. Even after 60k miles it still rides great and good enough for a trip to Moab or a run to our local offroad park.

Thank you all for the replies! Apologies for my late response been a hectic few weeks of dad life!

Definitely seems like a no brainer while more pricey it seems worth it! I'll update when I get! Looking around December my next huge debate internally is wheels 😮💨
