My MC UCA just arrived in the mail and upon first inspection I notice this rattle noise from the frame side bushing. None of my other arms have done this and the other uca that came with does not make a sound. Any MC guys know what this noise is and will it stop after installing or should I take this apart before putting on? Thanks

First video is good UCA
Second is the noisy one

Hard to tell in the video, is the Duroflex joint moving in the rod end?

It's not the jam nut, is it? Spin the end out a little and finger tight the jam nut and see if it goes away.

It’s not moving with my strength it seems solid and it rattles with barely any movement and everything else is tight

I guess disregard this post I just stuck a pry bar in the bushing and flexed it side to side and now the rattle is gone. Super weird still considering popping the ring off to see how it looks inside

C clip is fully set? The bushing may have grabbed and not fully set against the back washer until you put the prybar on.

I don't remember doing it, may be powertrain dependent?
I believe c clip is set looks identical to the other uca and I thought the same thing about different powertrains but it doesn’t mention anything about that so figured I’d find out when I get to doing it. They even provided a replacement bolt which is why I pulled up the directions to begin with I was confused why I only got one bolt and what’s it for

Is it the front frame side? Maybe that weird crash protection piece they added last year screwed up the normal install?

You doing the whole GC? I can check the instructions real quick and give you some pointers from my install.

No just front uppers and fad skid this weekend, I already have their 2.5 lift and front lowers appreciate it though. The bolt in question says it’s for the passenger frame side and it interferes with the exhaust but based off the picture of theirs it seems it can be wiggled out without cutting it

Cool, I thought the Dual Rate came with UCAs.

You may already know, but my trick for lining up Control Arm bolts is chocking the rear tires and pushing/rotating the tire and kicking a chock under them to line em up. Way easier than a ratchet strap.

Yeah, That is going to be in the diesel because getting that bolt past the downpipe is rough and easier to just replace the bolt.

I saw the same instructions for diesels. On mine I was able to remove the passenger side UCA bolt from the axle and twist the UCA enough to remove the bolt from the other end without cutting. If you're taking the UCA out anyway, you might as well give this a shot.
