I get an odd engine stutter when in low RPM (±1300 rpm) in 3rd gear (6 spd manual) going around 23-25mph. I would chalk it up to a mapping issue. There is a thread about it somewhere.

This is happening to me too.. when I am a stop light... or when turning into the driveway... a sudden acceleration... it is very very scary to have this happen

Has anyone had success getting this fixed... I see a lot of problems but I haven't seen a solid solution yet...

Someone mentioned the lemon law... does that apply to this repair as well?

Same here with a 6spd. It goes away as soon as I get above 2k rpm. I recently noticed it's not as bad when using a higher octane fuel.

I have a 2019 Wrangler Sport with manual transmission and about 500 miles. Between 35 and 45 mph, this is absolutely the worst running car I have ever owned, and I have had some doozies. My old, 1997 Wrangler with 221K miles, ran MUCH better than this 2019!! On a flat road, it first will drop back on power just a tiny bit, with kind of a buzz feeling; then if you hold it at this throttle position, it will start to apparently misfire, sometimes to the point where you wonder whether it's even going to keep running. Some days, some "key"-cycles are better than others. Two different dealers have felt it. One completely washed their hands of it, telling me on the one hand, it was my fault and on the other, "There might be a software upgrade, someday." The other dealer is really trying but gets 'crickets' from tech support. ("Star") How this thing does NOT set a misfire code is beyond me, unless they hired some ex-Volkswagen engineers to trick out the software. It misfires so badly that sometimes the drive line clanks! This may end up being a lemon, because I actually HATE driving it, it runs so poorly. Cars from the 1920s ran better than this!! And they can't FIX it!!!

Yep I feel your pain. Mine will act up right at 42-43 mph in 3rd gear. A bunch of us think it’s a bad oem tune. Dealer can’t pull a code so they say it’s normal. It’s a love hate relationship with this thing. Might do a Superchips tune to see if it’ll over ride the oem tune.

I am a boat technician myself; so I have a little better idea of what's going on with an engine, than the average consumer. My seat-of-the pants opinion is that they have tried to wring so much fuel mileage out of the Jeep, that there isn't enough for it to even run right, in certain situations. Highway isn't bad; but it will occasionally do it there, too. It is basically consumer fraud. I picked up on this problem within 32 miles of ownership. I drove another similar model off another dealer's lot, which I could feel was on the verge of doing it (the buzz-feeling stage) after having driven it only about two miles. Jeep HAD to have known about this when they released it to the unsuspecting public. In a way, it is a comical sign of the times: I sure as heck can connect my cell phone to it; but I can't just drive it on a flat road without a problem. They obviously are keeping their sales priorities straight. God help the USA.

I don't understand why this thread has died when the problem has not? My Jeep has now been at the second dealer for eight straight days, for this issue. At least it seems like they are really trying to get to the bottom of it but get slow-to-no-help from corporate. Meanwhile, I am driving a loaner minivan. I am very grateful to the dealer for this; although it's not really the vehicle that I am paying the big note on. Anybody else getting this resolved?

I am VERY curious to know what they have been doing with it for those 8 days since the majority of people i’ve heard from (including my dealer) swear it can only be a software problem. Which means they can’t do anything about nor can they say when OR IF Jeep will ever release an update that fixes it. I think that is also why the numerous threads on this issue die off because everybody is just waiting and there is no mitigation or even a path to a resolution.
Are you sure your Jeep hasn’t been camped out in a dealer backlot this whole time?

So was I. It took some doing, to get them to even tell me what they have done. They replaced the flywheel, clutch, vibration dampener and realigned the engine. I can't make this stuff up. They are chasing it as a vibration. Let me just say that I strongly disagree; and it didn't work. Let me also say that when they told me that, I wished I could have downed a bottle of Valium. It's no wonder people sometimes go postal.

Thanks Jasmine. Your co-worker, Jaenea, is already handling my case, not there is anything she can do about it. The latest update is that a regional tech rep drove my vehicle and stated, and I quote: "I have felt better and I have felt worse. There is nothing we are going to do about it right now." This both shows he knows there IS a problem and that they have no idea how to, or even the desire to, fix the problem. The fact that a big-dollar vehicle runs as if it's sometimes going to conk out, and that's OKAY with FCA, is mind-boggling, to say the least. Buyer beware!

My 2019 Unlimited Sahara, V6, automatic, is at my dealer for the 4th time for this very problem. When I dropped it off yesterday day I gave the service manager these details : On downshift from 4th to 3rd gear at around 1000 rpm it will lurch or surge forward, at 1000 to 1500 rpm in 3rd gear traveling approx. 18-20 MPH it lurches, surges forward, and if you put the vehicle in park and bring the rpm's to 1000 and hold the gas pedal absolutely still, no movement at all, the rpm's will jump between 1400, then to 800, back to 1000 to 800 to 1400. Unbeleivable to me, My very first car a 1962 Ford Falcon ran 100% better than this FCA product. I am at the end with this vehicle, FCA, JEEP should be ashamed to have put this product out for consumer purchase, shame on you.

YouTube gang wars, apparently some guys from w a y o l i f e were making some comments about how trashy it is to pimp out your wife for products on their site and the litebrite nation folks here flipped out. So now it's a gang war, on the internet, lmao, at least until one of the litebrite nation fanatics who worships Brittany (creeper) started threatening to kill some w a y o l i f e members at EJS. Yes, it really is that dramatic and childish. I have no dog in the hunt at all, but I will say that Eddie knows Jeeps, probably better than most people on any forum. And my speculation is that the mentally unstable person who actually started threatening lives over this drama resides on this forum, but that's just my opinion. It's pretty funny actually, some people just need mental help. I read both forums for both info and entertainment. And i'm willing to bet that this post will be "moderated" before tomorrow.
