I seem to have this issue also, but it is very slight and I wasn't sure at first if I was just imagining it. But now that I read everyone else's experience, I know it is really happening. In my case, it sort of feels like a bucking when accelerating at low speed.

I have the gear indicator on below my "D" in the gauge cluster, but it is slow to respond to actual gear changes. I see it change a good 1/2 to full second after an actual gear change. So it's hard to tell if it is related to gear changes. I suspect it is transmission related and most likely could be fixed with a software update. We shall see.

FYI... I always run with ESS off.

def is the trans not downshifting. mine does that too, hangs while letting off the gas or rolling to a stop sign or red light. eventually it downshifts.

This is a known issue with the 8 speed auto. It's happened to us a couple of times in our 2014 Grand Cherokee. Once it almost caused me to roll backwards off a switchback on Cinnamon Pass.

Engine light came on this morning, wouldn't go into reverse, restart and reverse, then stuck in gear 6, wouldn't shift on my way to airport, parked it, might have it towed Monday to dealership if it won't move.
Not to Happy, 1,200 miles to date. noticed Funky trans last week here and there at low speed start n stops.

Mine definitely has a weird flutter at 33 mph. It is usually in 6th gear too which I think is stupid. When I am going down the hill from my house the cruise is set at 33 but it always gets up to about 35-36 which in my area will get me pulled over. Even if not using the cruise it is def weird at 33 mph.

There is a Trans Control Module flash/update for trans shift improvements. They shouldn't have to reproduce the concern to perform the update, it's a standard procedure to perform the update if a customer has a concern for the trans.

As mentioned to other forum members, if you want to get this checked out by the dealer, let us know. We'd be glad to help with that process and escalate to a Case Manager for further handling.

UPDATE!!
Picked up Rubicon from dealer last night,
Reflashed ECU / Transmission, Dealer said they took for cold and hot test run everything is good.

Tonight Engine light came back on and would not engage in Reverse or Drive.
R and D blinking.
Turned of truck shifted from 2H to 4H and back to 2H per dealer on phone.
Started up went into gear drove to Dealer with Engine light on.

Let's have this happen 1 more time so I can Lemon Law this Rig...

Latest Update,
Dealer called me and said that they are receiving a new transmission later in week.
I don’t feel completely confident or safe driving off grid in Mountains with this “new” vehicle.
