Looks like a leak

Where do you think this could be coming from? I’m not sure what the fluid is, but I changed the oil last week.

It was not there before the oil change. I changed it myself.

clean it up real good until no oil marks anywhere.. run the engine until it gets warm (but don't drive it around) turn the engine off and let it cool down for a couple minutes and then check for oil leaks

So the oil pan and the bottom of the block were completely void of any oil before you changed it? How many quarts of oil did you put in?

Yes, clean as a whistle and 5 quarts. I will clean it and start it.

Possibly the filter housing was over tightened? That might crack the plastic and cause oil to slowly dripping down. Just a guess.

I had my upper and lower seals replaced on mine with 15k miles on it.

Cleaned it up. Started it. Let it run for a few minutes. Jeep was warm. Shut it down. Waited a few minutes. No leaks. Did I fix it? LOL

doesn't matter if it is common.

And it might take more than a few minutes to show up if it is slight.

keep an eye on your oil level. check for more residue in a week.
