As a new Jeep owner (you were all there once), I’m curious if there is a ranking of lift kits for Jeeps somewhere? Specifically for Rubicon JL in my case but I’m sure lots of owners out there would like some advice on what to put on their Jeeps. I’m going to do lift, wheels and tires before I even drive mine off the lot next week when it arrives but need help with the right set up. I’m definitely going w 37” tires w 20” wheels as I love the look. Mainly a daily driver as I have an older lifted truck for rough trails to scratch up and beat on. Any advice?

It comes down to it depends.

I'm in the same boat, all the research I've done for a daily driver / maybe off-road on occasion led to Superlift (king or Fox shocks) and BDS (fox) who have been around the longest BDS has the no-nonsense warranty which is nice. If you're going to 35/37' tires better look at the regear questions Im trying to answer for myself too.

Jesus. Does anyone look at post dates before resurrecting threads?
I blame the suggested/similar threads section. You hop right in thinking it's current and then two seconds after you hit post you realize that instead of a JL post from the past month, it's a CJ post from four years ago that you're responding to

Trail Recon did a six-way lift comparo awhile back; it’s pretty fair.

This is the second of two videos, and one of Brad’s few videos worth watching.

You can watch the first video if you care to listen to him talk.

It's far too broad of a topic with far too many variables to be a legitimate ranking system of any kind. Best on road ride to most means soft and mushy, which makes it terrible at absorbing bumps at speed off road. Some prefer a firm ride and tighter handling that comes with it. Some prefer soft and floaty like an old Cadillac.

Out of curiosity, what is so complicated with mopar lift install that the weekend DIY'er cant do?
seems like most that have had issues have done the work themselves and then complain that the lift does not work or that it rides poorly. i had mine installed by an independent mechanic and I've had no issues.

Nothing really.

Still, people screw it up all the time. Including professional techs, especially at the larger shops/dealerships.

Does that mean that currrent responses to the question wouldn't be informative to more than the OP?
It means the search function goes unused yet again.
