I have this feature on 2 BMW X3’s, a 2011 and a 2012 and they both work fine, used by both my wife and I. Let me add that when you touch the door handle it takes moment and then you hear it actuate. I have learned to hold off pulling on the door handle until I get the audio signal to open the door. If I grab it too quickly it will fail to unlock the door, my feeling is there is a touch to the system, that once learned works consistently. I also keep the key in my Tumi briefcase.Disagree the systems in the BMW and Mercedes that I have had, worked flawlessly. However in my dads 2017 300s and my buddys Ram 1500 ecodiesel, they have the same exact issues are described. They work right 19/20 times... but that 1/20 times is annoying AF
