Disagree the systems in the BMW and Mercedes that I have had, worked flawlessly. However in my dads 2017 300s and my buddys Ram 1500 ecodiesel, they have the same exact issues are described. They work right 19/20 times... but that 1/20 times is annoying AF
I have this feature on 2 BMW X3’s, a 2011 and a 2012 and they both work fine, used by both my wife and I. Let me add that when you touch the door handle it takes moment and then you hear it actuate. I have learned to hold off pulling on the door handle until I get the audio signal to open the door. If I grab it too quickly it will fail to unlock the door, my feeling is there is a touch to the system, that once learned works consistently. I also keep the key in my Tumi briefcase.

Didn’t test yet as it’s cold and I’ve been using remote start, but I’ll run out and try it shortly before starting it up.

Yup, mine is still working, too. MUST have some secret update or patch that we received last weekend. Had to be...

Ugh this sounds annoying. My Hyundai has a physical button you have to push before you pull the handle though, so I think the "grab the handle wait a second" is still an improvement over my current setup. I just hate having to dig for the keys in my purse, so proximity was a must have.

Well, not a good day. All day today I’ve had the slow unlock again. Just as before.

Mine hasn't been out of the garage since Friday. When I get home, I'll check and report back.

Ooooo, be sure and check the keyless entry. But, you'll have to remember to give it a couple minutes, once locked, so it can go into sleep mode. That is usually when the instrument cluster screens finally turns off as its the last. The main screen goes off first, followed by the cluster one, later.
Just got back from the hills/mtns. They still hadn’t received their own Rubi yet last time I went (the one they did get was in/out to its owner which I am cool with). They just have 3 Saharas at the one dealership and 1 at the other.

May check further in town this week now that it’s warmer.

Will check from sleep if I can get the salesrep to not fondle the keys first, and then check Uconnect versioneither way success/failure. Usually I go right after hockey 7:45-ish just before they open, so it usually means no one has done anything with the vehicles, so hopefully should be a good chance it’s sleeping.

May just check one of the Saharas for just that, even though I need to look at other stuff on the Rubi for me, can probably check this Tuesday morning.

I checked mine again last night. Fortunately, it's still working properly.

@mergedown - sucks that yours has reversed and went back to the old way. Keep is posted if it changes.

@The Great Grape Ape - I don't know if you've been keeping track of this whole thread, but something changed weekend before last and ours started working properly...like some OTA update, or something. We ALL started working properly at the same time, so it had to be some unannounced OTA update. Well, this WAS true until the OP's reverted back to misbehaving. Thanks for checking, though, and keep us informed if you find anything different.

Yeah, ran around all day yesterday and it was still very slow to unlock every time. I've been using remote start, so that helps for now, but it should still just work. Trying to figure out what might have changed on my end, but I can't think of anything.

Remote start maybe...? I don't use it, even though I have it. Not saying that should cause any issue whatsoever, but using it as a starting point for troubleshooting. I also don't use Uconnect remote start, either.

Ya know, thinking about it...I did use it a couple times right around the time when the issue surfaced. Hmmmmmm...

Worth testing considering it's working for you and not for me. I'll try to avoid using remote start and see if it improves. Still doesn't make sense, but it'd be great to find the cause.

My system rebooted again late last week since then key-less go has been working flawlessly again.
