Key fob proximity not working

I'm not sure AutoZone or equivalent will help. They usually only find codes due to Check Engine Lights. Module codes are another level deeper and generally require a better scanner. JSCAN or something like OBDLink MX+ can see all the codes.

Great point, I have my own so I dont go to auto zone. Might be worth the investment for Jscan..Just a thought, Ya don't need it till ya need it!

Sorry, I work 3 jobs, haven't checked back for a few days. My scan tool is about 15 years old, and doesn't communicate with the jeep. I don't have money to buy a new one.
It just doesn't make sense that it all works one day, then it doesn't, although it's obvious the fobs still communicate with the vehicle.
If this is the best Chrysler can do, they should have gone under in the 80s.

Tazers have gotten really expensive, go with J-Scan, it will save you some money and IMHO work better. Let us know what the outcome is..Take care

Does the key fob issue happen in the same location or is it happening no matter where your Jeep is parked? Reason I ask . . . I had an issue a few weeks ago where my key fob did not work (brand new 2026 Willys). I read that sometimes there is other electrical interference in the area causing the problem. As soon as I moved away from the area I was parked, the key fob worked again. I also had this happen with a 2021 Ford Ranger I used to own. There was a restaurant I would order take-out from. My key fob would never work to lock/unlock my truck in that specific parking lot. It was the strangest thing. Only thing I could think of was the location I was in may have had that same electrical interference.

App is free but you need a dongle that plugs into the OBD port under the dash. That is relatively cheap, but not free.

Downloading app is free, but to unlock all the features (including non-CEL codes), you have to pay like $20.
