Jeepus Christ, I walk away for lunch and you degenerates are up to 19 pages already and posting about "jerping" again?

Dude buys a Wrangler and bitches when it does Wrangler things.

Here ya go Susan

Bronco might be too hardcore for this individual. Maybe he wants to go browse the Pacifica forums?

in all seriousness- this is an attention seeking post. Reeks of some half rate Jalopnik reporter looking to fill his "Here's the reasons why Jeep owners keep driving Wranglers" article, but he got banned from Reddit so he can't steal content from there.

Upon further investigation...
No, it's better. But how about a nice juicy peach?

I started out thinking "poor guy - Jeeps aren't for everyone. It's just a preference thing." After reading this whole "crying thing..." I'm laughing thinking "not really anything to get torn up over if it isn't your ride. Why are you posting on here if it isn't even yours? Just stop." Yep. That's where I ended up. "Just stop"...

I tell friends that see my Jeep and say they might want one - "it is not a car, truck or van-like SUV." New to Jeep people really have zero clue what they are getting into and it seems many dealership sales folk don't know enough about Jeeps to educate potential buyers in what they might like better between the models. You simply aren't a Jeep person. Your wife is. Nothing to feel hurt over. It isn't personal. Your the souped up minivan guy. We all have preferences.

1. No. Jeeps (Wranglers) do not ride like a car. Research "solid front axle". Etc. It will help you understand the difference in the ride. I guess not all guys pay attention to the mechanics of it all. Oops. Reading up will help you. My Sahara JLU rides great, until I get on a crap road - then it's a Jeep! I was already used to that ride though. Our Ram 2500 Limited Mega Cab also had solid front axle. Same ride except twice the size and price. For clarification, that's a fairly large, high end truck... Dwarfs a Jeep.

2. As far as noise, not an issue in my JLU sky one touch roof model. We added a HotHeads headliner and rear side windows liners anyway though. Wasn't loud but the headliner cut what sound there was. Also acts as temperature insulation/equalizer. They make them for all the roof styles I believe. The wife can look them up. Great service. Great product. I'm fairly versed in the sound issue in that our truck has active noise canceling tech so I have to roll the window down to even hear the Cummins engine (that's a diesel). Freaking insane quiet. Being In crazy, I do roll the window down just to hear the engine. Love the sound. Reminds me of the sound of an old M35A2. Anywho my Jeep headliner is red - only reason I agreed to get the headliner. Yep. Red in a Sting Gray JLU. Husband was worried about that color combo. He's sold now. "Red Room anyone?" Your wife might not have such sensitive ears though and not actually care that her Jeep isn't dead silent inside. Heck, she might be a diesel girl.

3. Dunno what to tell you. We went with 4 cyl 2L turbo. Technically "smaller" than v6. This sob shockingly actually gets on it nicely. We were "no 4 cyl Jeep" folks, then test drove one and were shocked. Maybe you need to get your wife's looked at? Maybe test drive next time. Dunno about more powerful engine options.... they are limited.
They are Jeeps.

4. It's a Jeep. It's not a sports car. That's what I mean when I say I tell folks to really research because people have no idea what they are getting into. I mean, realistically I didn't have to research to know it wasn't going to handle like it is on rails. It's a Jeep Wrangler, not a Jeep sports car. One look at the aerodynamics and higher center of gravity should have been a clue. Seriously dude....

5. Dude, your killing me here. This feeling super repetitive. It's a Jeep. It's not a truck, city SUV, minivan or luxury sedan from the 90s. That's a super easy one. Salesperson wouldn't (shouldn't) have to train buyers on that one. I mean I guess if I were a really big guy it might be tight inside? Dunno. My Dad was 6'5" y'all and drove a VW Beetle in the 60s... Jeep's not going to fit an elephant, tow a tractor or haul a house full of crap, but that's also not what it's for. Right?

My take? You aren't a Jeep guy. Easy peazy. Just stick to driving a city SUV. I mean SUVs are a step up from soccer-mom van. I guess. No shame there....

As for me- I don't take my Jeep off road. Couldn't give 2 rips about 4 wheeling. We have side-by-sides for that. I drive the Jeep anywhere from a mile to town to 1200 miles RT to visit family. I just "woman-up" and drive it because it's awesome. Roof open, 18°, heated steering wheel. I also have a Wrangler because I know I can get anywhere around/on "our mountains" in most conditions and around on the farm - and look pretty great doing it. I knew what I wanted and that's what we got. Lucky us the truck and the jeep get along.

Isn't there an Suv page to post on? I mean yes, boring right?

This was really fun! Thanks! Bless it...

There are a lot of these on Tenor. This one is particularly disturbing.
