Exactly my deliema. Truly a first world problem. And in reality no matter what my final decision, I will most likely have buyers/sellers remorse. Either way, I am fortunate enough to have a decent Jeep in the stable. Thanks for all the insight and replies. Much appreciated.

I have a first world problem. every single day.

The more money I make. The more first world problems I seem to attract.

It is always good to look in retrospect sometimes. We are all very fortunate. Anyone who is a member of these forums owns a very nice Jeep.

Frankly, the money is a secondary concern. It boils down to the 2 door vs a 4 door with a great motor. At 74, I fully realize money can't buy happiness, but also realize I have a finite time to do dumb shit stuff...like buying a 392 jeep...or ride around in a fun as hell 2 door!
In that case I’d buy a JK and swap chevy’s new 10L into it ?

Thankfully I'm not the only retard out there. 30k doesnt seem like a lot until you dont have it anymore. If your bank, your home and life style match the $100k vehicle then I would buy it. Yours clearly does not. You will at some point feel stupid driving such an extravagant jeep. However, there are used ones coming on line for high 60's low 70s with 20,000 or less miles. Not an XR but your driving the same axles so a regear and 35s would do the trick

392 Rubicon has too many doors, and a sport transfer case. If it was available in 2 door I'd have one, and if it had a Rubicon transfer case I might have one. Instead I have a 2 door Rubicon jeep, and ordered a 6.4 Chrysler 300.

You could add a a supercharger for under 10,000. I was thinking of going that route.
Not if you have an e-torque V6.....call around and you will find out what I learned.

You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a Jeep 392 and that’s kind of the same thing!

Traded in a paid off ‘18 JLUR for a ‘21 392 XR. Would do it again…and again…and again.

Absolutely love it! Do it!

I have 2023 2 door Rubicon which I truly enjoy. And now am faced with the prospect of trading it on the 2023 XR 392 Reign Rubicon which is waiting for me at the dealer. 30k to boot with trade. 2 door is paid for. I really do not want to take funds from the market as they are -30% in the last year. Loan would be 33k at 5.49% for 72 months, which is not an issue. FOMO has me thinking to buy the 392. Practicality and financial common sense does not allow both in the garage. So I ponder. The 2 door is just plain fun to drive. But the 392 calls my name as it maybe the last of a breed. What says the collective???

Pass… if you’re asking the question, it means your intuition can’t stomach the move.

A 392 is no big thing…

Actually my home, assets, and life style easily support way more than a 100k vehicle. As I said, money is not the primary issue I my decision process. Thanks for the reply.

You cant take the money with you so might as well use it to put a smile on your face. Even if the feeling is temporary there will be a market for it should you decide to get rid of it.

I went the opposite way, I traded my $50k Rubi that got 18mpg for a $44k Toyota Venza Limited Hybrid that gets 35mpg+. My trade difference was around $450 and I get double the gas mileage... I had tons of equity in my Rubi, so my payment went down by a lot and my gas mileage went up... Win/Win for me. :)

Plus, my Venza was Certified, so I got a 100k warranty and I bought a bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers me up to 130k miles and a maintenance plan that pays for all maintenance through 80k miles. All while lowering my payment significantly... And I got every available option on my Venza... The last 4xe Jeep I looked at that I would consider buying was $72k+ and still didn't average 35mpg for my driving style... (I'm putting 3k+ miles on per month currently)

I much prefer the Jeep, but pratically the Venza makes way more sense for me... There's plenty of time left (unless Jesus comes back first or I die unexpectedly) to buy another Rubi. :)

Not sure any of this thread was about being practical!

I would keep the 2 door. But it's hard for me to see someone wanting a 4 door over a 2 door. The 392 is nice, but $30k more (+ $5300 in interest if you take a loan) nicer than your 2 dr Rubicon? Not in my opinion.
