Been perfectly happy with my Sport driving around and enjoying having a Wrangler. Then I started driving my fiancé’s Rubicon.. love the view out the windshield over the hood.
Thought about switching the hoods and see if she notices.

Only attempt this if you don’t mind being single again, :CWL:

Well I was just commenting to her about liking it and she said she doesn’t like her hood but likes the smooth hood better. I was like well hell thats easy to fix. So told her we would switch and see how she likes the smooth hood and if she does we will get her some Rubicon stickers and I’ll peel them off the original hood.

I love that we have the same color.

Didn’t realize how pricey they were, I’m liking my hood better now lol
And that’s unpainted....
Edit - somebody already noted that

Yeah I seriously thought about seeing if someone wanted to trade for my Rubi hood....it's just trying too hard and the vents do nothing. But there's no one near me (who knows what a JL is) and it's simply not a priority

The vents on the Rubi hood actually do function all be it little.

I would argue that. A tiny hole covered by insulation does not for airflow make. I think it's strictly a drain hole for water.

Any air from the engine compartment would have to travel OUTBOARD to the edges of the silver insulation, tuck itself between hood and insulation, then INBOARD to one tiny hole per side.

But I can see how others might disagree

Hmmmm... I got some dis-information then. Someone a while back said that the vents actually were open mesh but that the insulation did block them, presumably to keep water from flowing directly onto the engine. If it's just a little water hole then yeah they are as useless as teets in a bull.
